I call WTS bullshit on that one!!!! This guy just beat them to the punch. If that was not the general concensus an HQ then why mention it? Doing his own thing? I don't by it. He jumped the gun for something they may have had planed for a while. This more than likely is the message being put out by HQ but subliminaly through people like him.

MAT 24:14 HAS BEEN FULLFILLED MP3 FROM BETHEL HEAVY

listener take heed.

None of you get what this implies!!!!!!!!! He ain't talking out his ass, otherwise he would not have said what he did. The underlying current here is that Bethel and the GB believe in this, and he merely spoke the voice of all.
They are slowly pushing this in an effort to REDUCE PRINTING!!!!!! If Matt 24:14 HAS BEEN FULFILLED then the printing presses can almost be shut down. Think about the huge amount of $$$$ that will be saved. All they have to do is print current pubs for the members, knowing full well that "pigs" (those in the world) are not deserving of "pearls" (WTS pubs). The focus has shifted from outside to inside, and if they do it the right way they can save money and keep this going for a long time. The ONLY new members will be JW kids, relatives or those that come in contact with JW's.

Tragic Bush Administration Failure
by DebSmithLopez inup here, in the northern plains, we just recovered from a historic event--- may i even say a "weather event" of "biblical proportions" with a historic blizzard of up to 44" inches of snow and winds to 90 mph that broke trees in half, knocked down utility poles, stranded hundreds of motorists in lethal snow banks, closed all roads, isolated scores of communities and cut power to 10's of thousands.. .

Anytime I can predict a poster's color and political leanings by their post,
that is a shame.
Damn Rush Limbaughs in this place lately. If your implying that I am racist your sadly mistaken. Rather I pointed out the facts of society in general. Please correct me if I am wrong. My arguement does not hinge on minorities, it applies to whites, browns, yellow, etc. every race in this country. It is so easy to jump on the bitch wagon in this country when disaster strikes and blame everyone but yourself, or demand things you are not entitled to. Socialism has taken a foothold and will continue to get worse everytime the fed govt bows to this types of events. Where does it end? Everyone wants something for nothing, and it seems that in general minorities tend to have the loudest voice and most prominent public figures in these situations.

I politely disagree. The governments responsibility IS NOT to give hand outs.
The Constitution guarantees the United States people their freedom and rights such as:
- Freedom of religion
- Freedom of speech
- Right to bear arms
- Right to a trial when accused of a crime, and to know what crime one is accused
- Right to own property and to expect the government to help protect private property
No where does the constitution have a provision for tax payer handouts. Everyone is responsible for themselves. Before the good old days of Socialism in this country, where everyone could bitch and get something for nothing, people actually relied on family, friends, and the community. Katrina and other disasters are sad, but people should realize that if you live in a danger zone and something happens, no one is to blame but themselves. Should I build a house in Death Valley and then bitch to the government that I need, no deserve free water and a meal ticket for my poor choice? No, thats absurd.
When government starts to take the roll of handout giver you enter into a Socialist society, because where does it end? Socialism does not work, and although most people WANT government to tell them where to live, when to eat, and what to wear, I would prefer to keep govt out of my bed.

ooohhhhhhhhhhhhh, sinis. say it isn't so. I hear these attitudes and my head just shakes s-l-o-w-l-y side to side. I cannot believe my ears/ eyes and my heart just aches......... Please tell me you can learn to open your eyes and heart to the circumstances of people who are NOT you. This is the last post I will do on this thread because it is too core-deep of a hot-button issue for me. It's all I can say. Maybe this thread should be under 'Adult and Heated Debate' category.
OK, you tell me what YOUR definition of government is and how far should they go in assisting people?

"In my many travels, I have noticed that once one gets north of about 48 degrees North Latitude, 90% of the world's social problems evaporate." It does seem that way, at least to me.
Well, I guess the people where you live are just better people than us who live below the 48 degree Latitude cut off point. Don't you feel just a tad bit like a biggot? Maybe a little a wee bit simplistic, and generalizing, where everything is either black or white in you thinking with out considering finer shades of gray?
That statement seems to be more in line with reality, bigotry or not. Why is it that so many minorities DEMAND that they get special attention or handouts from the government? As the poster mentioned, where is Al Sharpton or the other neo-panther leaders? Plan and simple fact, is if it does not involve a large minority populace, who feel they have been foresaken, or shafted by whitey, even when whitey has no control over the incident, then these leaders NEVER show their faces. Bill Cosbey, and Morgan Freeman says it best when they talk about the minorities blaming everone else but themselves for their lot in life.
Yes Katrina is sad, but NO ONE FORCED YOU TO LIVE THERE AND IF YOU DID YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD A BACK UP PLAN OR INSURANCE, etc. in the event of a disaster.

"The world does Not owe you a living"
I'll remember that when something happens in your neck of the woods that you can't handle and the goverment fails you as well.
Give me a break! Those poor bastards in Katrina should not have been sucking off the government tit in the first place. The government should ONLY have provided assistance to those in need of rescue, not debit cards, or any other bullshit. If you did not own flood insurance than thats your problem, not the tax payers. Before you say the same thing "I'll remember that when something happens in your neck of the woods that you can't handle and the goverment fails you as well." to me, I will upfront tell you that I DO NOT rely on the government for help, I rely on MYSELF with the assistance of NEIGHBORS and FAMILY.
Government has basic fundamental functions, and footing the bill for idiots who insist on living in a danger zone is not one of them.

The Bible vs the Koran

almost the same style, exploits, wars, etc.

Bible and Koran = ying and yang.

Do you understand the ransom?
by Fisherman inbecause i am a christian i accept the ransom with a leap of faith but undrstanding it is beyond my imagination.
i cannot justify torturing and killing the innocent, but that is only my thinking.
god must have good reasons for what he does.

Sinis - You said it's time to stop humanizing God, and then go ahead and do it yourself with your next words. YOU are trying to set the standard for what a just god would do. God has already told us what his requirements are, but we humans keep trying to make God more like us rather than making ourselves more like him.
Praise
And these requirements are where? The bible? You'd have better luck getting to know god if you read the Odyssey, or Illiad. OK, so you mean the Bible. So some of the requirements from this Just God would incorporate, burnt sacrifices, killing of tens of thousands - all for a land grab, killing Davids' innocent illegitimate child, killing every first born in the land, death and doom for billion in Revelations, on and on... yea, that Bible is a heavenly book.

The official answer would be "to preserve justice" --
Justice? Thats a sick way of doing it. We need to dump the "humanizing" of god. These are human concepts - a life for a life, etc. If god is FAR beyond anyone or anything, then simply forgiving would all be that is required of a JUST god, right? Once again we come back to the crux of the whole ransom topic which is Universal Soverignty. If universal sov can be disproved than the ransom does not exist. Paganisim has permeated christanity, and the whole crucification/ ransom are aspects of ancient pagan beliefs.
