  Went to my first meeting today anonymously!

  hi everyone.. jack and i decided we would go to his local kingdom hall this morning.

  although i have no interest anymore in being a jw, i think its still nice to have regular bible discussions, etc, which can give you something spiritual to think about each week.

  i love it and i think its damn good for you.. today, jack and i walked in, a little nervous, but were greeted and welcomed like friends.

  i was supposed to study his stuff in collage, i let slip to the elders that i was supposed to study him and they went mental.

  like i was about to study the devil himself!.

  i was told that he inspired the nazis and that he belived that concentration camps were a great idea.

  it's been really slow lately and different --- anyone else having problems w/slow?

  for fifteen hundred years, the only christian church officially vested with authenticity was the catholic church.. at least, this was their claim.. authority, so they said, was passed on to them by jesus himself when he established peter as "upon this rock" (peter=petra_).

  peter was the church's first "father" or papa=pope.. additionally, the entire tradition of teachings from jesus forward gave them magesterium.

  when official pronouncements were made about faith and morals these teachings were binding on earth and in heaven.

  great post, as usual, terry.

  it can be difficult finding association (if one believes the scripture about not forsaking the gathering, bla bla) w/honesty, forgiveness/charity in or out of church.

  Stock Markets and Foreign Exchange

  i'm starting this thread for those of us that love the process and rewards of trading and investing.

  contrary to popular belief, the markets are not rigged and no one is ever "set up" to fail.

  the markets are an open format for capitalist's to take advantage of.

  Sam -- heard that facebook was going public or already went public opening price $5.00. don't know if any of this is true but in the event it's going public and we didn't miss out YET --- something to look into. i will try to find out info.

  wish i had time for stocks and maybe after summer i'll have to make the time.

  OMG -- my post shows up TWICE! HELP --- HOW come the site is SO VERY SLOW or is it my laptop. hopefully so many witnesses are peeping into the site for truth and that's the slowdown.

  Blondie -- thanks for links. OMG --- i try desperately to throw/donate everything and after skimming the first link realized i'm one of those who throws/donates and REGRETS. i threw out my FAV old luggage and a couple of other items i really need just to make the garage look better -- OCD!
