I believe it - scary - doubt I could sit through it - the news is bad enough of the 'peaceful' protesting. Unreal.

All the ones I associated with had fear of being accepted and fitting in. Unbelievable! So fake - would make comments to convince others - always schmoozing. It was crazy - what a cult!

LHG - About 1990 I was told there were so many people waiting to study with witnesses the society decided to make it more difficult to become a JW. Lots of baptism questions, more books needed to be studied before one could become a JW. I was told the witnesses could be more "selective" of who they wanted to become associated with as members. That sounds Christ-like to me! Can you imagine - those judgmental losers.

We don't have much choice in these dangerous times - better be prepared to protect ourselves if alone or out and about and our family. Sure wish my Dad would have taught me how to shoot a shotgun. I'd prefer to not have to think about guns or buy them but it is what it is.

Simon you sound like my husband - she was 18 and knew what she was doing! I tried to tell him that's only a baby! I was trying to defend the poor girl having been shoved aside by the cult but under age, naive, girls - no excuse.
She was either enticed with the money, clothes, prominent clientele, Barbie doll delusions, or knew what was going on and didn't care. It's not like she was from a deprived home - educated father/good income.

I found it on Barbara's link with dailymail under a photo but thanks for all these links.
Ms. Kellen (Vickers) and 4-5 others who were at the top will roll over and perhaps won't be sent to prison for 10 yrs.
I feel bad for Kellen's parents - can you imagine worrying about your child's life being murdered before she has an opportunity to 'chirp' by our fave politician(s) - I won't mention her/his (their) names.

Hello!
by Caedus inbeen reading here for a few years.. 4th gen jw, born and raised, served for a few years which was the catalyst for me.
the politics, backstabbing, slandering and coercive tactics in particular caused a constant internal struggle.
i started researching and focused only on the stories of ex-elders/servants to see if i was the only one - i wasn't.. the rest is history..
