Maybe Earnest could explain why entire bodies of elders have been disbanded and congregations closed with any who stay "loyal" having to go to other halls/congoes in the area. Methinks it was their attitude towards "personal" views on bible principles not matching the "rules" from brooklyn. At the end of the day there simply is no such thing as personal views in the org. The only real reason for the teaching of being governed by bible principles is to get around the truth that they are totally and explicitly told how to conduct their lives right down to minor details of daily life. Bin there, done that.

There is no individual hall or congregation that has "their own individual rules" on anything. If a hall or congregation is condoning in their hall of matters such as exracaricular sports, flag adoration or any other clearly defined matter from the Papal office brooklyn their would be hell oops to pay eventually.

by PSacramento injust to confrim, do jw's believe that jesus is divine?.
not that jesus is god, which they obviously don't believe, but that jesus is divine, with the divien qualities of his father?.
also, do jw's beleive or agree that, in the new covenant, jesus has the primary role that was god's in the old covenant?.

friday last talk "sing to jehovah" - new songbook with 135 songs, 42 which are new.

Since this is already off thread I can continue. Although they probably do not have large bank accounts, neither do they need them. The org they run has a pretty good sized one that they can tap as they see fit. And as has been pointed out if every need is met (food, housing, travel, etc.) why would they need one. To me the big bonus they get is a totally stress free life, probably why most live long lives. Stress in life today is the major factor robbing us of overall enjoyment of life in many cases. These old buggers have even overcome the stress that comes about from feelings of guilt. They create horrible situations for the brotherhood that cause stress for them all, but don't care a whit about it, obvious by the way they just shift the blame for all the bullshit they start on the rank and file. I guess the one factor that evens things out just a bit is how having a personatity that is cantankerous and not "putting on the new personality of (Colossians 3:10) can catch up with them as in teddy. . .

Is the Governing Body the Only Channel of Communication between God and Men?
by UnDisfellowshipped inlet's take my questions one at a time (since you said i had posted too many on my other thread):.
* can you please explain to me, using only the bible, why anyone should believe that today's governing body of jehovah's witnesses (or the "faithful slave class" of the jehovah's witnesses), is the "sole channel of communication" between god and men?.
* in addition, can you explain why we should believe that christ's parable of the "faithful and discreet slave" was predicting a "class" of anointed christians who would give orders to all other christians, instead of simply teaching that faithful christians will be rewarded by christ when he returns?.

Since when is confidencec iin preaching you are the only ones preaching God's saving message about his son a wrongdoing? etc. etc. strikes me anyhoo. Don't all churchs make these and similar claims.

longer an issue for us. Also I hear someone at my congregation say that
maybe the devil had planned to use this against us and his plan was
thwarted by the change in our meetings.see how smart they are and how powerless that dumb ass Satan is.
this was posted in regard to the deal about a pastor holding studies in his home. If you have read the articles it was all a big misunderstanding on the part of the officials,. not the beginning of destructlion of babylon, ha,ha.
