That title, “Buy Truth and Never Sell It”. Is that not our goal has JW’s, to try to sell the truth to those who have the right heart condition to accept it?
Para 9: “When the fishermen Peter and Andrew were invited by Jesus to become “fishers of men,” they “abandoned their nets.” (Matt. 4:18-20) Of course, most of those who learn the truth today cannot simply walk away from their jobs.”
Notice that how it is wording here in the WT, would have you conclude that Peter & Andrew “abandoned their nets” for good, never to return to fishing. But in John Chap 21, Peter is out fishing again.
Para 11: “Though we do not want to cause division, some friends and close family members may distance themselves from us or even oppose our newfound faith”.
Really! Is this not exactly what we are told to do as JWs if some of our witness friends or close family members wake up to the reality of the TTATT?
Para 12: When Aaron learnt that “God’s name, could be pronounced “Jehovah.” Excitedly, he went to the synagogue to share his wonderful discovery with the rabbis. Their reaction was not what Aaron expected. Instead of sharing his joy of learning the truth about God’s name, they spit on him and treated him as an outcast. His family bonds became strained. Undaunted, he continued to buy truth and served as a bold Witness of Jehovah for the rest of his life. Like Aaron, in order to walk in the truth, we are willing to pay the price of accepting whatever changes may occur in our social status or family relationships”.
Let’s turn the tables of this one. What if you, as one of JW’s learnt some facts about the WTBTS that you were unaware of, e.g: the origin of the 1914 date and how the history of it has been rewritten by WT to make it sound good. Or the making up of earthquake statistics based on false data that on the surface appears to be correct. And you then go running to the Elders or some other witness with these (facts) truths, are they not going to likewise treat you as a wicked person, an outcast? Or as in the case with me, even before checking out any of my findings to verify them, I was accused of being an apostate. Now that was one way to instantly shut me up, a faithful JW at the time being told I was apostate. That event was the beginning to me waking up.

Flawed Website
by pinkpizza inwhen i first seen this website i actually thought it was a jw website hence the home page and not an ex jw website and i posted a topic thinking people were real witnesses then i quickly discovered it was not and all these people were commenting and embarrassing me and i couldn’t even delete the thread.
then i asked the admin to delete it and i said it was very misleading saying it’s a jw page and he’s like are you serious i deleted your topic and now you are attacking me and it clearly says ex jw page.
he was very rude and btw no where does it say ex jw and you should be able to delete your own threads you start.

Interesting days text today
by ZindagiNaMilegiDobaara insunday, december 30. asa’s heart was complete with jehovah all his life.—1 ki.
15:14.. each of us can examine his heart to see if it is fully devoted to god.
ask yourself, ‘am i determined to please jehovah, to defend true worship, and to protect his people from any corrupting influence?’ for example, what if someone close to you has to be disfellowshipped?

Jehovah’s witnesses and having kids
by Addison0998 inin my area, a lot of young people don’t want to have kids.
they get married young from 18-22 years old, and think that they know how they’re going to feel the rest of their lives about having children, (which they think will be never).
i respect people who don’t want to have kids, there are good reasons not to, but i think it’s foolish at a young age to think you will never think differently for the rest of your life.

“Aren’t you scared of the baby starts crying during Armageddon if we are in hiding?”
Whenever we are doing renovations around the house, my JW wife is always looking for places to hide watchtower propaganda for when we come under ban... The fear that WT insert into peoples brains to keep them locked into this religion is shocking. "For when we come under ban". and its a real event that is going to happen, so they think in their heads.

“Do You Know the Time?” From WT Sept 2018
by skin inthere is a one page article in the current wt study mag, sept 2018 pg 22 with the title “do you know the time?”.
in that article it describes a number of different ways you can say the time is 1:30. it goes on to say “there are even places where that same time could be expressed as “half two,” meaning 30 minutes before two”.
what i would like to know is this, where in the world does “half 2” mean 1:30?

What I would like to know is this, where in the world does “half 2” mean 1:30? Here in New Zealand, when we say “half 2”, we are saying that the time is 2:30. A shortened way of saying “half past 2”.

Seven Generations
by Ultimate Axiom inby chance i came across a watchtower of june 1, 2015, and it has an article in it, “a legacy that has lasted seven generations”.
it’s written by a guy called kevin williams and it starts with this ancestor thomas williams (1815-1891) and continues his story down to the present through his family.
but hold on a minute, how can this guy’s twelve relatives span seven generations?

While JWs say 1+1 = 1
Trinitarian's say 1+1+1 = 1
Well said...
