  todays study article for 6th october discusses 2 cor 4 " we do not give up.".

  in the race for life christians must not give up or be distracted by , among other things, postponed expectations .

  hmm, what is the difference between expectations, predictions or prophecy?

  Is that what happened in 1995 when the generation of 1914 passed away before the end came. All along I thought that idea came from those taking the lead? Obviously, it was my own wrong expectation here, and I can’t prove that now because those taking the lead instructed me to return or destroy any of the old unused WT material I had. Could the end being just around the corner be another one of my wrong expectations? Wait a minute, this WT study says to not give up.

  i noticed that at the begining of my fade back in 2015, it had already been there for a good while and was already getting on my nerves.

  i means, i grew up in it, but can't remember much further than the 90s and i don't remember this being always in the payers.

  one commandment on the stone tablet reads '' you must not kill/murder.

  Our congregation will be deleted

  last night was the co's visit.

  prior to his part, an elder had a part on following theocratic direction.

  it was about our congregation being deleted (there are 2 sharing this hall) and the people and territory being divided up to the 4 other surrounding ones.. they say it is not about numbers but about making best use of resources.

  Exactly, there is a couple here that have been very vocal over the last 30 or so years talking about how any one who plans for retirement has been blinded by the devil. It's very obvious that the end is so near....they used to continually say. They are now both very close to retirement age with no savings, dont own a house and are very worried about how they are going to live once retired. I could hold back and made sure they realised why they have got themselves in this mess. I was told in no uncertain terms that is not the reason. Meanwhile they continue to lap up the nonsense coming out of WT.

  Need Help: My Correspondence with the Headquarters

  a month ago i sent a letter to the us branch about 607. my purpose for sending it was because i wanted to show to my parents through the letters the truth behind the date system.

  two days ago, i received a response from them.

  i think this is gonna be the first of many.

  607BCE is clearly a biblical date, if it wasn't, then 1914 would be in error. Because 1914 is also clearly marked in scripture, and we know this by counting backwards using Daniel's 7 times prophecy we arrive exactly at 607. Here are two outstanding proofs that these dates are correct....Isn't this just circular reasoning? With no actual biblical start date or end date to base any of this from. So it has to be correct, to late to change it now, and I dont think they would change it, even if those many unread tablets show otherwise, then those tablets must also be wrong too.

  i didn't post for a while, but i still enjoy the great jwn community.. just wanted to share a "gem" from the november 2019 study watchtower.. paragraph 8 from the article "are you maintaining your large shield of faith?".

  They will try to turn us against one another.

  What more fear nonsense can they publish? And because JWs read this in the WT, they will believe that everyone in the outside world (enemies) have only one thing on their mind, and that is to make JWs turn against each other.

  By default, anything that is negative regarding Jehovahs organization is obviously lies from Satan, end of story. Last thing they want JWs to know is that those branded apostates could be proclaiming the facts, the very facts that WT don't what their followers learning about.

  Does anyone think that Dubbers buy up old publications to destroy?

  i see that there is a lot of people bidding on and buying the more controversial publications.

  it could be all due to people who have left the cult and want to read it as published the crazy things or prove it to a family member.

  but i wonder if anyone has ever heard of individuals buying up to remove something from the public.

  I used to have an extensive personal library, in fact, right up till the mid 2000's, most JWs I knew gloated about their personal JW library. Not anymore, I've kept some of the older good ones, sold the rest (and was told I had to donate that $ back to WT, unlikely, you don't get paid twice for the same product). Had to hide the ones I've kept from "know it all" JWs. They say "Those publications are out of date so you should destroy them", oh but we love our rich spiritual heritage they will tell you in their next sentence.
