Turn up with an open mind
" Four rows of Turnips" Since when have you been able to turn up with an open mind?
so in this past week i came across a stash of my old elder stuff.
i've scanned a bunch of notes and agendas, and public talk outlines.. check out an agenda and my notes from the meeting here: https://imgur.com/gallery/qqmyczn.
i’ve put an explanatory note on each image in imgur.

I'm thinking the greater percentage of negative growth would be from old faithful ones passing away than those leaving.
i stumbled upon this jw material website and thought i would share it with you all.

I,ve just looked up the "year 2000". From that site. Very interesting to read what was published in JW mags 30 years before 2000, and what never came true.
had our midweek meeting last night.
they had a resolution to send an extra (i wanna say $1100 but i only remember it was at least $1000) per month to forward the kingdom preaching work etc.. you know how they work in the kh...no one votes against anything.
i abstained as i almost have always done.
We were told at this weeks mid week meeting that there is going to be a resolution at next weeks meeting, we were told the rules of who can and who can not put up hands, during which we were told that we will be putting our hands up. Whats the point of having these resolutions when everyone is obligated to put their hands up. In the past when I haven't raised my hand, I get the evil steer from those righteous ones sitting around me holding their hands up, with that judgemental look on their face, while waiting for the brother to take a count of those holding up hands. I hate meetings where they have a resolution, its pointless. Not puttting your hand up is considered going against Jehovah's arrangement and only wicked people do that....so this resolution will get a pass, just like all the others have.
have you ever reinstate somebody even if they are not that repentant?.

Would like too know too?
the watchtower is thrilled with the amount baptised in the 2019 service year.
they are reporting an increase in publishers of 103,208 from the 2018 year.. this is what they have posted under global news on their website -.
2019 service year report includes largest baptismal figure in 20 yearswe are thrilled to announce that during the 2019 service year, more than 300,000 individuals were baptized as jehovah’s witnesses.
It's not coming from NZ. Extremely poor baptism percentages here over last 10 + years.
i knew of several women who would preach at the local correctional facility.
some would do the fall in love and get married to a new convert who had a long prison sentence.
if the witnesses had half a brain they would stop this before it ever got started.
But it makes a wonderful upbuilding experience to relate at conventions, that prisoner is now serving as an elder at some congregation somewhere.
at a recent midweek meeting, a short documentary about translator william tyndale was shown.
it begins with this statement about his death:.
"his crime?

I am sure they would burn us at stake if they could or throw rocks
That has been said at meetings, but then say that because they are under law it can not be done.
todays study article for 6th october discusses 2 cor 4 " we do not give up.".
in the race for life christians must not give up or be distracted by , among other things, postponed expectations .
hmm, what is the difference between expectations, predictions or prophecy?
Is that what happened in 1995 when the generation of 1914 passed away before the end came. All along I thought that idea came from those taking the lead? Obviously, it was my own wrong expectation here, and I can’t prove that now because those taking the lead instructed me to return or destroy any of the old unused WT material I had. Could the end being just around the corner be another one of my wrong expectations? Wait a minute, this WT study says to not give up.
since when has it become cool to pray for the gb?
i noticed that at the begining of my fade back in 2015, it had already been there for a good while and was already getting on my nerves.
i means, i grew up in it, but can't remember much further than the 90s and i don't remember this being always in the payers.
What better way to inform everyone on how spiritual you are than to slip that line into your congregational pray.
