  It must be true I also heard that meetings are starting 1st of November in Christchurch, New Zealand.

  First in person meeting is starting tomorrow'Sat 23rd Oct in some congregations in the upper half of the South Island NZ.

  Our congregation is one of these, first KH meeting next week, Sunday 24th. Will still be zoomed for those who don't want to attend in person.

  i just heard this story from one of my relatives.

  i'm leaving a lot of things out.. a jw couple had three kids and raised them in the religion.

  the oldest one got disfellowshipped at 18 years of age because he committed fornication with a jw girl.

  I can also confirm that in the congregations in the circuit that I'm in, a very high % of JW marriages fail, don't succeed, usually last only between 7 to 15 years. But we are not to focus on that because it is negative thoughts, and negative thoughts come from Satan. I don't see that kind of divorce rate outside WT, but we have to believe that the world views marriage as disposable.

  I find it so hard to believe WT information that is clearly misleading, making me believe and promote lies that make the organization look wonderful. Because I don't get involved in their promotional / upbuilding stories, im the one they view as spirituality weak.

  My biggest first time post fear was getting caught and having to explain. The fear of writing on a website with others who are awake in regards to the TTATT.

  Do JWs buy old JW books to destroy?

  i have never heard of this but i doubt its never been done.

  i sell some older jw books on etsy and have always been a bit afraid that some jws are buying them to destroy.

  if you have heard of this let me know.

  I'd say most Jobos will collect for their 'spiritual' library.
  

  Those were big in the 90s, early 2000s. We used to brag about library size, kind of a sign of how spiritual we were. Not anymore. All needed literature is available for download from the HQ website. Everything else is now old light. It didn't help when the branch had a letter read out about 6 years ago asking for all old publications to be returned to them. I was put under a lot of pressure from my JW family to dump my old literature.

  When people are told not to do something they usually do it just out of curiosity`s sake .
  

  Individually they might sneak a look, but as a group or family, the fear control would take over and everyone around them would hear about how Satan is using this documentary to promote lies.

  Almost the same words were answered at our WT study. Except change the 100 years to " back in Jesus's day".

  in the latest jw broadcast, anthony morris the turd gives a talk about donations.

  to camouflage this, he starts and ends the talk by saying that isn't actually what he's doing.

  first he starts with the usual disclaimer, 'wt has never begged for money like christendom and we never will', you know the drill.
