How many talks a year do we hear from elders telling us to simplify our life's, reduce work hours, get a part time job, go pioneering etc. And there are always those poorer ones in the congregations that follow that wonderful advice each year, going that step further, thinking they are being faithful to God. What happens when these poor ones go to far, and get themselves into financial problems. We get a special talk, thats right, a special talk on how not to be shocked when we hear about our brothers having financial issues, because we are living Satans world, and we are in the last days. So Satan gets blamed for their money issues. Thats right, when following the wonderfull advice of WT fails, its easy to blame Satan.

An upcoming Watchtower article saying if people Pioneer Jehovah will provide!
by LongHairGal ini saw the post on reddit and the thread got many responses..can anybody believe the religion is still saying this??
it has to be as plain as day that so many jws are poor and struggling today because they never got a career or decent job years ago.. sadly, there are still witnesses who believe money will fall from heaven if they are in the full-time ministry.
they expect some miracle to occur..but, we all know the truth: people in the congregation will be hit up for yet more money for another bunch of irresponsible people pursuing poverty.

I was told the big A was taking place before the 80 year generation of 1914 was to pass away. Today I'm being told we need to prepare for when we come under ban.

Tennis Controversy in Australia
by smiddy3 inapr 20, 2020. novak djokovic sparks a backlash after publicly opposing the covid-19 vaccine.
he says: “personally, i am opposed to vaccination, and i wouldn’t want to be forced by someone to take a vaccine in order to be able to travel.”.
asked by sky news australia anchor danica de giorgio why djokovic was granted the visa in the first place, the home affairs minister said: “they’re entirely separate processes”.. “to gain entry to australia you need both – you actually need the visa, which is determined quite separately, and then you have to meet the entry requirements,” she said.. “i know that people are putting the two issues together, but the visa application process and the granting of a visa is very separate to the additional entry requirements that every traveller needs to meet to be able to enter australia.”.

He has had plenty of time to prepare himself to enter Australia, he would have known the required covid rules to enter this country. He has made that choice himself not enter by not getting vaccinated, so he can't blame anyone else for upholding the goverments rules to enter.

Thanks all regarding the update to the time period with the earthly hope teaching began. 1935 would be when the other sheep / great crowd were identified as having hope on earth.

From today's daily WT text.
Friday, December 31 2021.
Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth.—Matt. 6:10.
Christendom generally does not teach the Scriptural truth that one day obedient humans will live forever on earth. (2 Cor. 4:3, 4) Today, most religions in Christendom teach that all good people go to heaven when they die. It was different, however, with the small group of Bible Students who were publishing the Watch Tower in the late 1800’s. They understood that God would restore Paradise on earth and that millions of obedient humans would live here on earth—not in heaven. However, it took time for them to discern clearly who these obedient humans would be. "Here is the real WT origin of the earthly class.
This doctrine of an earthly "hope" was first introduced by the president of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, Joseph F. Rutherford, on Friday, 31st May 1935, to an audience of Jehovah's Witnesses in Washington, DC, America. It was then published in a two-part article entitled "The Great Multitude" in The Watchtower, 1st and 15th August of that same year. The information presented was a change to the previous teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses. Their founding president, Charles T. Russell, had taught that the "great crowd" (or "great multitude") had a heavenly hope. That was the accepted teaching for over fifty years. When Rutherford became the president of the Watch Tower Society in early 1917, at first he continued to preach a heavenly hope for the "great crowd". This new doctrine, therefore, was not just "a different gospel" to the ear of a Christian; it was also different for all Jehovah's Witnesses.

I learnt that I wasn't the only JW that knew that WT have rewritten their own history to make themselves look good, to help cover failed teachings while at the same time promoting their updated version of their history.
I also learnt to use the Bible to test every WT teaching without the fear that God was going to punish me, although JWs don't like it when you reveal a fact that is outside their mindset.

GB 2021 Update #10 - "get vaccinated"
by neat blue dog inam the turd comes the closest to just coming right out and telling jws they have to do it.
he says, 'there's no need to worry, just keep doing what works: wear masks, wash your hands and get vaccinated when possible'.
the busybodies are going to be even more insufferable now than they have been.

Is this the recent talk where he tells us what inactive ones are thinking? He tells us that inactive ones are thinking about how they will return to Jehovah. As if he knows anything about inactive people...
