my wife and i have tried to move on with our lives, since we decided to stop being "active" about 14 months ago.

for months the webiste has been announcing it as a forthcoming title from elihu books.

The FDS and NO governing body?!?
by cecil inin the early 1990's (if i remember correct either 1991 or 1992) there were talks at the district conventions entitled "the faithful and discreet slave" and "the faithful and discreet slave (fds) and its governing body (gb)".
it was a series of talks that covered the issue fds through nearly 2000 years of history.
as usual, these talks became articles (study-articles) in the wt 6-8 months after they were held at the conventions.. the talk i remember best was "the fds and its gb".

I need your advice
by cecil ini need your advice: i have written a letter to my branch office regarding my problems with the 607-chronology 60+ pages with short references about the issue, that i have collected through the past 9-10 years.
at the end of my letter i asked 14 questions 7 questions regarding the biblical evidence against the 607 bce-chronology and 7 questions regarding the historical and astronomical evidence against it.. the letter i received as an answer did not contain anything that could qualify as an answer or even an attempt to answer my questions.
i called the branch office by phone and talked to the brother who had written the answer.

by cecil ini have found something interesting in the danish new world translation of the holy scriptures.
and i would like to know, how the other nw-translations render the same verse.. it's the "famous" words in jeremiah 29:10, which in the nwt's rendering usually (at least as far as i know) seem to depict and strengthen the seventy years as a period of captivity, instead of servitude under babylonian supremacy!.

Only 144.000 christians faithful since Jesus?!
by cecil inthe wording in the subject-line is taken from a bible research-thread, started by mds on feb 3, 2000 (see link below).
it dealt with the wts as the faithful and discreet slave.
the reason why i take this part of the original thread to the main-forum is, that it brought back to my mind some questions, that i have never been able to answer.
