PROTESTS AT WATCHTOWER CONVENTIONS
by Lawrence Hughes indear friends,.
as you may know, the watchtower society takes great pride in its district conventions.
please contact me if you can attend any of these protests.. there is no reason why every district convention in the world could not have a protest and receive media coverage to expose the watchtower society.

If people have their heads up their ass so far, that they would take this as an attack on Simon ... Fuck'em. I am simply saying, it could go for some nice improvements. I would not take on the nightmare of a former Witness site, I have been here to long to know they have to be managed constantly. As trolls abound, and some former Witnesses are whacked. Either way, I think my suggestions would be nice. Plus, I read those updates ages ago and nothing seems to have changed. It is 2011, I am in a generation with no patience. LOL

I mean, it is a great site for quality conversation and such. On the JW topic line, etc. It is just seeming real dated anymore and surprised there has not been any updates.

Your marriage sounds over, which is my first thought in reading your thread.
I predict continued threads and account from you, describing a slow and painful disconnection from your wife and ultimate end. Which is sad, but a path we see here often. Either way, the marriage vow with Witnesses does not give a excape clause for one leaving the faith. However, if you said something like she could not go to meetings, read the Watchtower, etc. She could seperate from you. No divorce though, unless you sleep with another woman (or man, animal, etc.)

World turning on Muslims, WTF?
by free2beme inhere we are in the 'supposed last days' as warned by the jehovah's witnesses and it must just piss them off that the only religion being turned on by the world ... is muslims!
isn't this a sign, in their little minds, that maybe the muslims are jehovah's chosen people and not the witnesses.
just seems pretty odd to me, that the muslims are not mentioned in any of their 'predictions' and yet are such a strong part of the religious world.

Nope, they can not get off the 'Catholics' and keep beating that dead horse. Come on, what about the world turning on Muslims? Seems to be happening to me.

I remember as a Witness, few took part in retirement plans. I got out young though, and try. Although, like most, I think I am screwed with retirement. Yes, I have a 401k, as does my spouse. I put money in an IRA, etc. The thing is, cost of living is going up up and up. By the time I reach retirement and live beyond it. There is just no way the average income American can save enough. Especially when most people will live in to their late 80's. If social security is gone, I personally would gladly take aim at a couple politians for wasting my money on government programs that were a waste of money. At least prison would have food and a place to live! In all seriousness though, does anyone out there really have a realistic savings plan for retirement. They say, you need 1.5 million by 67 to retire at a comfortable remaining of your life-span. Good luck!

Why cant we eat animals?
by MrFreeze inhow come we cant eat animals in the new world?
where does it say that in the bible?
what about animals that die of natural causes or accidentally.
-
free2beme
If they said animals killed on accident were okay to eat. I would be accidently stabbing a cow, beheading a chicken and you just know I would being going "Opps!" as my fish hook accidently snagged some fish.
You do realize though, that Witnesses base this thinking on the idea that animals are not at peace with us. As they know we eat them. If a lion or panda did not think you wanted to eat them with a side of mash potatoes and gravy. They would let you pet the hell out of them. So perhaps a peace treaty is in order.
