I don't want a traditional funeral. I want my ashes to be packed in fireworks and have them fired off while everyone stands in silence. I don't think I've done enough with my life for people to say anything.

Do you believe the earth is warming up in your area?
by JH inwe hear so much about global warming, that we wonder if it's a myth or real.
is it just in fractions of a degree or much more.. since posters here are from all corners of the world, i'd like to hear from you, and let us know if you see a difference in the weather patterns in your area, since the last few years.. here, i notice that more people have air conditioners in their homes than before, and most cars have them today.
does this mean that its hotter, or that the population is getting older and people are less resistant to heat?.

It may be possible. As a kid we'd go sledding every winter, but for the past decade or so there hasn't been enough snow to do anything like that. If we do get a little snow it's usually gone within a few days.
Then again, three or four years ago we had a blizzard that had us barricaded in the house for five days.

how do JWs justify having children "in the last days?"
by kid-A inin the years leading up to 1975, there was an implicit (if not explicit) discouragement of having children given the proximity of armageddon.
for the most part, this seemed to have been ignored.
my jw grandma now has great-great grandchildren.

I don't understand the logic behind this.
So, their "new system" isn't supposed to contain any children? Would children slow them down as they run from Jehover's fire and brimstone of love?
I don't get it.

This is just one of many things that led me to reject Christianity altogether. It teaches SO MUCH HATE while claiming to represent love. "God" really showed his love as he destroyed entire cities and killed innocent first-born children while allowing many other atrocities to happen in his name. Bullsh;t. If any of this crap really happened, then I spit on this god. There is no "love" in Christianity, at least not as I want to know it. I wish everyone would open their eyes and see this unfounded cult for what it actually is.

I shall live forever in Jehovah's Witness paradise on Earth.
I just thought of something. What are the JWs going to do without the need to peddle their little magazines and books? Sit around singing Kumbaya?

Do You Hide The Fact That You Were/Are A Jehovah's Witness?
by minimus ini don't.

No way. That gives me an excuse to put them down when the subject comes up. In fact, I did feel like hiding it when I WAS a Jehovah's Witness. I guess I always knew there was something wrong with the religion.
