  Why not just hide?

  after reading "running man's" excellent piece regarding cain and able the thought hit me: why not just hide from jehovah when armeggedon comes around?

  he had to ask where able was after cain killed him.

  adam and eve effectively hid from him in the garden after eating the apple.

  my wife is involved with jws, and i want to find out what they believe, things they do or will not do, that i can present to her in the hope that it will convince her that the jw lifestyle is not for her.

  i found out a few things already, like blood and yoga which i told her about, but she was unphased.

  ("i've never needed a transfusion before anyway, and besides, they told me that doctors have blood substitute now".

  Over 2000 years ago God came from Heaven to earth in the person of Jesus Christ and took the punishment for our sins(wrong doing).

  If you do believe in that ridiculous fairy tale, you're wrong.

  God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to Earth to die for our 'humanity', for some sick, sadistic reason. If this BS is real, I didn't ask for this horrific sacrifice, nor do I want it. God could have forgiven 'US' (another word for two five thousand year old apple eaters) in a much more loving way.

  The whole thing is sick, and I want no part of it.

  i heared something the other day that made me sick.. apparentely its been brought out in a talk recently that children are becoming more and more imperfect due to us being right at the end of the system.. i was told that the witnesses are saying that this generation of kids being born have a natural bad streak that makes them so willfull and disobedient.. i don't know what they are saying should be done about it but i imagine they are probably encouraging harsher discipline.. the mind boggles!

  Children today are tyrants. They have no respect for their elders, flout authority and have appalling manners.

  Although that's a gross generalization, it's true for many.

  We have to stop putting the blame on children and look to the underlying cause(s). Kids aren't supposed to be raising themselves, and society has become too loose and wishy-washy.

  It seems that the quest for material things has taken precidence over spending time with our kids.

  just finished watching this discovery program, that makes convincing case that ufo are nothing but very advanced military projects that have been going on for years.

  in fact, it all started in nazi germany, and the company that was commissioned to produce them was none other than skoda , car company from czechoslovakia.

  interesting indeed.

  I've seen a similar program. It showed "space ships" from the 1950's that could hover over the ground as well as other weird vehicles that didn't really do much.

  I do believe that we've been visited by extra-terrestrial beings. Look at some of these paintings from the renaissance:

  when i was growing up as a jw i had (as most others) a masturbation 'problem'.. the broblem more was that i felt guilty, and not happy.

  this caused my concience to grow very weak.

  because of this repressed desires etc, i would have done anything for a woman.

  Help! There's a tree growing out of the first floor of my house!!!

  it's a kind of woody trunked bush or shrub growing literally out of the brickwork making the bricks crack.

  i've pulled off the bush itself but i need to know what i can do to kill the roots and stop it growing again.

  it's already done quite a lot of damage!!!

  I believe chemical brush killer with stop it from growing. I've also been told that pouring large amounts of salt on a tree trunk will kill it.

  What a bunch of BS. There are many factors that make kids the way they are today:

  1) Social services will have anyone locked up who so much as looks at their kids the wrong way. Everything has become too politically correct. Back in the day if a child got out of line he would get the sh*t beat out of him, which is what some kids need. I know damn well I'd think twice about disobeying my parents if I knew there was a belt with my name on it.

  2) The divorce rate is higher than ever. Kids without a positive mother and father figure often become agry and lash out at the world.

  3) Drugs and alcohol are extremely easy for kids to attain. My step sister began taking crystal meth at the age of 13 and has been a living nightmare ever since.

  4) Society is promoting malevolent behavior in youths. Look at MTV (I prefer not to): The channel is aimed at a teen/preteen audience, yet it's filled with "reality" programs and videos depicting graphic sex acts as well as drug and alcohol use. Modern music in general is full of this time of behavior.

  It's not a problem with kids, but a problem with our sick, materialistic society. The sad part about all this is that many parents are either too blind to see it or simply won't take the initiative to do anything about it. We also have laws in America that protect the 'right' to spread this type of garbage, so it's only going to get worse.
