  to all my very patient friends out there thank for your support here.

  over many threads i have argued and posted on what various indivdual versus in the bible say.

  to put it all together i decided to create it's own topic thread so it could be referred back to in the future.

  Native American Artifacts

  my great grand father was one half cherokee, he taught me about making flint tools and a lot about the land.. his son, my grand father taught me how to find flint tools lol.. the area i'm from is literally littered, with these tools laying right on the ground.

  some may have been lost in the hunt, others discarded as a broken implement.

  have you ever found artifacts?

  My stepfather had a huge collection of artifacts that he'd been amassing his entire life. He had spear, arrow, and ax heads as well as various tools for making weapons, jewlery, etc. Some of the things were so odd that we didn't even know what they were, and everything was in spectacular condition. There must have been over 1,500 pieces in all, most of which were kept in two large stacks of acrylic cases, and others were displayed on the wall of his computer room. Some were quite large and they were collected from all over the country (he was a truck driver for 20 years).

  That idiot sold it all a couple years ago for only $2000. I could have sold just ONE of those pieces on eBay for nearly that much! I began comparing old pictures to those on greedBay, and the collection would have went for well over $20,000.

  Leviticus 20:13 states, in part, "When a man lies down with a male the same as one lies down with a woman". Had the writer intended to convey homosexuality being condemned here, he would have likely used the Hebrew word 'iysh, which means "man", or "male person". Instead, the author utilizes a much more complicated Hebrew word, zakar, which literally translated means "a person worthy of recognition".

  Not that I care what the bible says (but as you say, many do), what does that scripture mean if it's not implying that the "persons worthy of recognition" are both men? Why would they add "as one lies down with a woman" if one of the "zakars" was a woman? And what would constitute a person worthy of recognition? A priest? A land owner? A father? What types of men would be excluded from the zakar class and be allowed to have gay sex? A slave? A farmer? A blacksmith?

  Sorry for so many questions, but I don't have any answers.

  it doesnt have to be wrong as one cousin told me, you admire beauty of the sunset, the song of birds; you appreciate exotic meal and equally you can now more appreciate the natural beauty of opposite sex.

  reason why im asking is because today ive met a dub from my former congdubgration who immediately assumed i was "immoral".
