Is God Uncaring and Hardhearted?

many people think that the answer to that question is yes.

but I (in ALL my imperfection, yet made in 'God's Image') could not stand by and see someone suffer and die. And why? To prove a point to someone I could wipe out anyway? I think not.

Bravo! This is the same conclusion I've come to within the past few years. What kind of rabid beast would this alleged god have to be to let things come to this? Why would he make us all guilty for the "crime" of Adam and Eve? Why would he require Christ to suffer and die in order to forgive us for our sins rather than basing forgiveness on our works?

The whole things sounds like a load of crap. If he is real, he's DEFINITEY playing games with us. There's no love behind any of it. It seems that such a being would be using us for entertainment purposes only, because if he truly loved us he would not, under ANY circumstances, allow us to suffer over a trivial bet.

Strange happenings on the JWDF...

for some reason, when i click on my user name i'm not getting the usual screen (with post history, profile, etc).

inistead, it's opening up in dreamweaver.

i'm assuming that simon used this program to create the site.. is this happening to anyone else (at least anyone who has dreamweaver installed on their computers)?

I know I did. Even though I felt in the back of my mind that something was wrong, I told myself that I would never leave because I wanted to live forever. I told myself that this was God's organization and it was nearly perfect.

What exactly is a beer belly?

this probably sounds like a stupid topic, but what's in a beer belly?

i've always been on the thin side, but i've been drinking too much beer lately and notice something happening above my belt.

it's not really noticeable and is easiliy sucked in, but i'm not happy.

For me the red flag went up when I read the above it sounds like the typical hard belly of an alcoholic who has cirrhosis of the liver where the liver enlarges and distends causing the pot belly or that "my belly done-lop over my belt" syndrome.

I haven't been drinking for that long, and it's not big enough to lop over my belt. LOL

Don't you have to drink for so many years to get cirrhosis? For the past month or so I've been drinking an average of six beers per day for some reason.

in fact, the only two groups of people who work in america anymore are white people, and mexicans.

hell, they ("they" in this case being the govt., i gather, but i'm unclear on exactly what govt.

I used to be a manufacturing line coordinator, and I had plenty of people come and go.

Most of the people working on my line were black, and most of them worked just as hard or harder than the white people at the plant. I will admit, there were some who would do a lot of sleeping and wandering around, but there were more who would work than wouldn't. The people who didn't want to work didn't last very long.

i noticed that the movie got decent reviews and i didn't really hear anything bad about it, so i gave it a chance on hbo tonight.. .

these stupid ass reviewers got duped.

But we all loved Seinfeld and that show was about absolutely nothing.

I never really understood why they said this about Seinfeld. I loved the show (and still do), but every episode was about something IMO. One show was about the puffy shirt, another was about shrinkage, etc. The plots were easily recognized, although they often went off on strange tangents from time to time.

Well, I have been on semester break, but I'm not sure how much that has to do with it. I also eat like a bird and haven't gained much weight at all. I've been between 165 and 170 lbs. for years.

I also haven't worked out or exercised at all since I've been on break, but can someone get out of shape that fast?

It happened over the period of about a month. I swallowed a few "seedless watermelon" seeds. Do you think one could have been fertile?

The swelling is in the entire mid section, and I haven't really gained any weight. I may have gained a couple pounds but my weight has always fluctuated between 5 pounds or so.

I think I'll stop drinking for a few weeks and see what happens, then see a doctor if it doesn't get back to normal. I've been getting pains in me liver bone from time to time.
