Worse than death?
by 5thGeneration inone society thing that drives me crazy is trying to scare us by quoting the scripture about one who knows the truth and leaves is worse off than others who have never known the truth.. question: if every non-jw is going to die at armageddon, how can someone who leaves be worse off?
are they going to die more than the others?.

Do you keep a diary?

I have alot of them depending on my mood and which personality is present. Some tell stories about my life so that my children and grandchildren and greatgrandchildren will have something when I am gone.
Then I have other more private ones with the nonsensical ramblings of where I am trrying to make sense of this crazy existance.
Last count I have 7 active diaries -

dont you know that the bible said people like you would quietly slip in the congregation and subvert the faith of some?

*Joining the debate a little late* (I sure hope someone left a songbook or Bible on my seat so no one steals it...)
I think my big bro said it.
A: stay, swallow my pride, keep pretending to eat the sh!t dished out at the meetings or
B: go and lose my family, and everything I've known all my dub life.
Being raised as, or assimilated into the BORG and subsequently leaving can be likened to jumping off a cliff into the ocean at night. You aren't sure how long the fall will be or how deep the waters are. All who stand at said cliff, do so with extreme courage, staniding to lose everything. All who dare think outside the box live in constant fear of the spiritual witch hunt. The truly beautiful thing about this board it that it provides a jumping off point and a cushion for the fall.
What was said to Stilla, was said to all of us who are like him and frankly, I find it to be very presumptious. If the way some choose to live is causing you to be stumbled, maybe you should exit this board and continue down the path of self righteousness.
Maybe the real reason you are a member on this board is because you question the validity of your faith.
Are you angry at within because there are things you are afraid to own up to within yourself so you cast judgment upon Stilla? Have you been so brainwashed you have lost your ability to truly understand and empathize with your fellowman despite differences of opinion?
I love you all and once again THANK YOU JWD FORUM for giving those who have lost their voice a chance to be heard.

JWD gave me an avenue to reconnect with my long lost brother.
Over the years, the innerconnective relationships of myself and 3 brothers were largely built upon pretences due to our affiliation (or lack thereof)with the congregation. After many hard years, and finding my oldest brotha, I feel a larger sense of inner completion. He really inspires and challenges me. Through him, I have greater understanding of life and myself.
(if the aforementioned brother reads this post)

Ever got stung or bitten by animals?
by greendawn indid you ever get attacked by nasties from the animal world?
that includes getting stung by bees, wasps, spiders, scorpions, medusas, poisonous fish etc .
or perhaps suffered a snake bite, heavens forbid, or bites from dogs, lions, bears etc

heck yes I have! I was carrying a watermelon on my shoulder and our horse bit me, i have also been stepped on by, treed, and flown off horses
then there was that one time I fell victim to a killer bee who stung me on the head. My left eye was swollen shut and my cruel brothers called me "butt eye" I suppose my eyelids looked like buttcheeks.
We had a male dalmation for a while......by the way, when a dog is eating, don't sit there and throw pebbles at his lil doggy balls just for kicks....he is likely to bite you in the face.
