  BOOK DONATION CAMPAIGN ANYBODY?

  i mentioned this topic on sleepy's thread but i'd like to have some input please from others on this board.

  what i want to know is this: there are so many books available on the net that have been written by other ex-jw's who have been there and know the truth about the borg (other than rf).

  what criteria do stores like barnes & noble and christian books stores use to stock particular book titles?

  I donated Crisis of Conscience to my local library in 1999. I believe it was the 3rd edition, first printing. I own Coc, 3rd editon, second printing and I believe a third printing is on the way.
  That book is still on the shelf of the library, and it has been taken out and read.
  I also donated “Apocalypse Delayed” by Penton, but the librarian decided not to put it on the shelves…. When I asked why, she said something about other sects wanting to put their propaganda in the library and they had to refuse. I told her that this was not propaganda for the JWs, but the true history of the movement… etc… If they didn't want it, I would donate it to another library.... Well, apparently they lost the book inbetween, I was very upset, it is a $23 book…

  and what are your religion say to you about going auot inn war, and what did it say about where you come where you die.

  why do you assume that when someone leaves the lies of the Watch Tower behind, they have to sign up into another sect or "religion" ?

  I am a daddy!

  my daughter was born at 9:05am tuesday morning.

  she's a skinny little thing, 7 pounds 5 ounces, with a shock of black hair, her father's chin, her mother's eyes, and a fetish for sucking on fingertips that neither of us recognize in ourselves.

  i'll post pictures when i have them up somewhere ... meanwhile, foxy and i are trying to catch as much sleep as possible, which is precious little sleep at all.

  Yes, i remember....The first 2 months were really hard, practically no sleep....
  but it is worth it, as you say !

  How can JWs not see what's going on... just by reading the Watchtower ! the Society exposes itself and shows its blatant hypocrisy.

  Mother, wife, myself, DA'ing ourselves

  well, i've finally had it.

  i'm da'ing myself, along with a piece of my fam.

  the unbaptised ones are refusing to go with my father now, and even my still devout father is leaning towards our opinion on things.. there wasn't even any screaming when i called the jw's the great hypocrisy last nite.. i just can allow myself to be associated with them in any way.

  have you still read that from the june watchtower of 1913.. "we urge none to attend the conventions.

  if, in the providence of god, your affairs are not favorable, remember that he is able to overrule in this and in all things for your good.

  the lesson of submission learned in staying at home may be just as important a one for you as any blessing which you could secure by attending.

  CLEAN HOMES,YARDS,AND CARS

  remember how we were taught that if we kept our homes, yards and cars clean it would bring honor to jehovah and serve as a witness to our neighbors?.

  we really thought people would look at our freshly mowed lawn and they would think, "those people must represent the true god jehovah?".

  those people never connected god to any of those things!.

  I remember reading an article in a WT or Awake! telling the readers to wash their hands before handling food and after using the toilet....
  I wondered why a religious magazine would even mention that...
  This is something we learn in Kindergarten if I remember correctly...

  Weather and the Dubs....

  the weather here has been very strange to say the least..... i live in an area that usually gets snow and very cold temps.. but this year it is as if we are having spring early..... so i guess my question for all is.....what - if anything- do you think that the dubs would say about it??.

  is it a preclude to armmageddon??.

  what are your thoughts on the weather?

  in late november 1989 we decided to visit our new town, and see our new house.

  we scoped out the small town for its amenities, and this included a visit to the kingdom hall where we would eventually attend.. hindsight, being 20-20, i regret now that i did not try to get my family out of the organization before the move.
