  I'm Tickled Pink With What I Saw Today

  yup!

  red squirrels by the dozen at center parcs, cumbria, where hl and i + 15 family members spent the last 4 days as guests of her 2 brothers.

  Englishman, you're going to hate me for this.... Here in North America, at least in the North-East where I live, it is said that some foolish english guy brought red squirrels from England, and they are now outnumbering the local grey squirrels. The red ones have taken over the grey's habitat and food.
  

  My son shoots the red ones with his BB gun and feed them to the neigbor's boa constrictor.... I must say that I love watching the critters, but they are so numerous, and they chew holes into the attic and make a mess....

  The chipmunks are also very prolific and destroy gardens.... Boa constrictor food....

  Let me also add that I feed the red squirrels along with a rare grey one and dozens of different birds all winter at my bird feeder, and choice seeds, a mixture of peanuts, sunfower seeds, millet, thistles, etc... hunting is not allowed in the winter

  A Schubert Impromptu

  franz schubert was an austrian composer who at one time studied with the infamous antonio scalieri.

  those of you who watched the movie "amadeus" will remember scalieri.

  schubert was born in 1797 and died in 1828 at the tender age of 31. even so, his music shows an incredible amount of maturity.

  Farkel : Thank You --- Wonderful piece. It took 30 minutes to download it on my computer, the only way I can listen to it. Interesting what images and feelings this music triggers. There's hope, despair, joy and victory... How's that for a music critique ?

  HEART MURMUR !

  just found out that i have a heart murmur !

  going for an echogram soon.now i have anxiety!

  what do you know about heart murmurs,anyone have it now .i read up on it ,but,still have anxiety about it.i appreciate any infomation that will help me to calm down.

  My husband was born with a heart murmur... he was a "blue baby". He had open heart surgery in his early 30s. He's doing fine heart-wise.... I believe the "murmur" is caused by a leak of blood from one chamber to another. The valves are too weak or something.... I am sure some board members will know more about that than I do, and will know the proper medical terminology.

  Farkel : Are you there ? Someone on this thread asked you to write a book. Many others have suggested the same thing in the past. You know, you already have all the material, and I am certain you could easily come up with even more stories...

  What about a book like the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series... In this case it would be something like "Comic Relief for ex JWs"... You would have at least 3000 takers for the first printing (all the members of this board)

  Serious Concerns About Asparagus

  does anyone else have problems with this little vegetable?

  I have a bed of asparagus in my garden too. One of my favorite vegetables. But I love all vegetables, particularly artichokes, spinach, cauliflower, zucchini.... Yum...

  I must say I prefer the white asparagus, but it is too complicated to grow them. I like them warm with butter, or cold with mayonnaise (homemade).... getting hungry here...
