How did you tell old distant friends that you faded? Or do you?
by cab1000 inyou all have been so helpful in the past with these things...and i have another "how to deal" question.... ok, we have been faded for a while now.
we have pumkins out for halloween, as well as fun decorations...the problem is..we got an anniversary card today in the mail from some old witness friends where we used to live...they wish they could visit...they are prone to drop by un announced...so..have any of you had any sucess of "warning" old witness friends that you have changed?.
we are still trying not to get disfellowshiped for family reasons.

More bones of hobbit-sized humans discovered
by zagor inmore bones of hobbit-sized humans discovered .
by patricia reaneytue oct 11, 9:57 am et .
australian scientists said on tuesday they have discovered more remains of hobbit-sized humans which belong to a previously unknown species that lived at the end of the last ice age.. professor mike morwood, of the university of new england, in armidale, australia, stunned the science world last year when he and his team announced the discovery of 18,000-year-old remains of a new human species called homo floresiensis.. the partial skeleton discovered in a limestone cave on the remote indonesian island of flores in 2003 was of a tiny adult hominid, or early human, only one meter (3 feet tall), that would have walked upright and had a chimpanzee-sized brain.. morwood and his team said it represented a unique species of early humans that evolved to a naturally small size because of environmental conditions and the isolation of the island, which was also home to exotic creatures such as miniature elephants and komodo dragons.. but critics suggested the small hominid was not a new species and was more likely a pygmy human or a creature that suffered from a form of microcephaly, a condition that causes an unusually small brain.. "the finds further demonstrate ...(it) is not just an aberrant or pathological individual but is representative of a long-term population," morwood and his team said in a report in the science journal nature.. chinless wonders.

i know exactly what you are saying, FHN. seems like we should also be hearing about how they've found stone tool, some sort of preserved art, further physical evidence to back up the claims that these pygmies were homo status.
i'm thinking they are comparing the skeletal remains to that of early homo erectus vs. smaller brained homo sapiens and coming up with reasoning under these, or similar methods, in determining the "hobbits" level of development based on the development of others. also, consider my first thought....
they were either advance enough in mobility to build water craft and get to indonesia, or, don't get me wrong ... i realize parallel evolution theories exist, so another, more credible thought is that homo erectus reached the island in question as the early human ancestor, erectus, and began to adaptively evolve within their isolated surroundings. -

have you ever considered combining your two passions, or fields of interest, and becoming a counselor within the public school system?
i know a girl that completed her masters in this area of study and is now working in the high school in which she graduated from! but she loves it. from what she tells me, the positions are hard to obtain, but worth the wait. just an idea. good luck in choosing. -

Aljazeera skewing the news again
by Elsewhere inthis morning it was all over cnn about how the us intercepted a letter from al-zawahiri (al-qaida's #2) addressed to al-zarqawi (al-qaida in iraq).. in this letter he said:funds are drying up, and actually asked the al-qaida members in iraq to send money.
al-qaida has lost many of its key leaders.he is resigned to defeat in afghanistan.complained that the al-qaida activity in iraq that is killing iraqi civilians will likely alienate the "muslim masses".. basically the letter talked about how bad things are for al-qaida.. i went to the aljazeera web site to see their spin on it.
what i found was nothing.

hi elsewhere. how ya doin? all swell in texas...liking your new car? cool.
you seem like a totally reasonable guy, sensible on many accounts. so listen, about this aljazeera thing:
are you absolutely certain you are not just looking for reasons to charge this news source with foul play? i'm not accusing. really. but hear me out.
for one, i kind of agree with the label martyr. i think it's fitting when factoring in the cultural/religious differences, which have to be considered in certain terminology and how it translates. also when you consider the level of development and the economic advantage of a city in the USA vs. N. Pakistan...it is shocking to hear of the new orleans citizens, highly civilized and advantaged in comparison (in opportunity alone) to our friends in mention, engaged in looting activity. They are so poor! i'm not defending their actions. just pointing out the obvious in that it is quite possible their specific "desperate" actions may be, more or less, expected or more easily understood.
i realize i may sound like a spokesperson for aljazeera. its just that i also realize a lot of, shall we just say, americans for lack of a better way to put it, are overly critical of anything that comes out of this region. i see aljazeera as a good balancing tool to the typical domestic, corporate news conglomerates who's sponsored messages flood us with lots of rubbish. in particular, in regards to topics geo-relevant to this area.
it is bad enough many misguidedly believe aljazeera is affiliated with al-qaeda. i hate to see this pigeonhole way of thinking regarding aljazeera spread on in any way. -

...sounds similar to the Mbuti pygmies living in the heart of the rainforest in DROT congo. (africa) Only the mbuti have prominent chins and are most certainly more highly evolved than the little hobbit of yesteryear w. their chimp size brains. these little people are fascinating. I wonder about their origins (the mbuti) and how they came to be there, in a large land-locked nation of sub-saharan africa...especially in reading about the "hobbits" of indonesia. i get the environmental adaptation in their evolutionary development, which is what puzzles me about the mbuti and their environment.
i'd be very interested to hear of any other pygmy tribes that exist today, if any are known of?
tiny elephants? aw, sorry i missed those. -

Do we imitate Jehovah---think about it

well then, what are your questions and why do you hang onto these ridiculous notions that we are all imitating jehover?
if you have approached the elders, sincerely, because you question things within "jehovah's organization", to no avail, why not try a new approach instead of wandering aimlessly through life, carelessly stumbling into forums and imposing insane concepts?
be like the late french philosopher, rene descartes and forget all you know. start from the beginning and move forward. if you make your way back to the tower...what can i say? it's probably meant to be.
