closely resembles Gremlins. Gremlins were worse than smurfs because of the spells. No joke. I heard this explanation several times.
Its a gremlin furby!! Oh no!
one of matt's friends got me a furby over the weekend off of ebay.
i wanted one as soon as i remembered a jdub telling me that they were forbidden...i never knew why...does anyone know?
i played with it all day monday...i couldn't find any reason why the jdubs would ban them.... .

i've just seen the pictures on the news from the children and babies who have just been killed.
from what i hear soldiers were giving out sweets and gifts to the children when i suicide bomber drove into them and blasted them all to pieces in baghdad.
makes me feel so helpless, but not hopeless.
Also anyone who would like to read an online diary of a girl involved in the Londond terrorist attacks I read some very poignant stuff at the bbc news site
Thanks, I'll check it out. I'd be interested in reading a first hand account from someone who was there.
ladies,.
in preperation for a class i'll be taking starting next month entitled "history of love, sex and marriage" i would like to probe your heart's desire to find out the 5 biggest turn on's and 5 biggest turn off's you find in men.
and well, hell, i also would just like to add to my general knowledge.
Looks like I'm growing a goatee for the next apostafest..
NO! Don't do it!!! lol. I never understood the attraction to such a thing... goatees look like too much maintenance. I want to think guys wake up, brush their teeth, comb their hair, and just naturally look good. I cannot even imagine how you guys get facial hair into shape like that. I'm surprised as well that so many women like it...I guess to each her own!

Ok, since it is purely research...
Turn-ons: Sincerety, intelligence, good sense of humor, open mindedness, and as far as physical features go... woman are turned on by the masculine form in general, so other than that..pretty eyes can certainly be nice to look at, warm smiles, etc.
Offs: Unhealthy egos, taking ones self too seriously, materialism, insincerety...all that comes to mind.
hey pole...welcome back.
how was your trip to boston?
what did you end up doing for fun?
Welcome back...
Glad to hear you had a great time.
Chrissy
i don't.
it reminds me every day of what i was was and not what i can enjoy.
For me, it depends on the situation and the people involved...if they can handle it or how relevant it is. I find its easier to talk about with the natural progression of time. The first "stranger" I told, after much hesitation, introduced me to a friend of hers that was also once a witness. That was a great surprise and a rare outcome.
Mostly, I have just gotten strange looks and awkward silences.
Currently I am trying to decide if I should tell my neighbor girl that I have been hanging out with on occasion. Out of the three or four times I have been around her she has mentioned jw's twice! Once to inform me that they've been seen in the neighborhood... I guess a warning of sorts, and again totally randomly she mentioned something about not wanting them to come to her door. So now that she has spoken about it twice, its almost impossible for me to be all, "yeah you know those jw''s you've seen lurking about...I was one of those."
Sleater Kinney is the opening act on the east coast, I have no idea who they are but feel like I should.
Sleater-Kinney is a three girl band from Portland (and yes they play their own instruments!). They started out like these indie political riot-type girls, but have evolved into a more mainstream band these days. If you go see them with Pearl Jam (or not), either way... I highly recommend their new album, The Woods. So good!
thank you for letting me post this un-sent letter to my father.
i am writing this to voice my opinion; this is not open for discussion.
i find if upsetting that you feel its appropriate to invite my husband into your home and demean the religion he was brought up in, not only have you done that in your home but youve also done it in his home.
Hi puppet,
Welcome to the jwd board. ...a great place to vent thoughts on parental relationships torn apart by the org....as well as a great place in general.
Chrissy
my mum used to always tell me i should model myself on the clothes that we see people wearing in the wtbts propoganda.
have you seen the clothes those people wear?
errrk i mean there wasn't a bit of fashion about them.
No....but I'll have a drink of whatever it is they're having
Ya...pass me a rolling rock! (or whatever)
I would wear the sweater...sure, why not.
has anyone else seen the movie saved!?
i watched it last night with mr c and although many aspects were extremely funny, some were so cringeworthy too!.
there's one scene where the head of the "christian jewels" gang tells all her to laugh and look like they were having a good time to try and convert the bad kids to jesus by showing how being a christian is such good fun!
Crumpet,
I loved this movie!!! My fav lines:
"I am filled with Christ's love!!" She screams as she whales a bible at her preggie heathen friend's back.
and... at then end when the mini van crashes... "you ran over jesus!"
LMAO...I could watch this movie over and over.
