I was married to a person who hadn't a clue where I came from and didn't care to get a clue. I agree with you, I dont want somebody to fill my every need either. But it would be nice to have somebody who went through the jw adventure and lived to tell about it. Dont you think it would be nice to have a companion who will understand and can laugh with you about the absurdity of what you went through?
Its a very nice idea but it depends on the person. Being an xjw really alters a persons mental state and not always in a positive way, but if they are laughing..yeah it could be very good. But like BG said, it could be a nice balance to have a partner that was never there, where we were, but is still empathetic at the same time. My partner is not this way, unfortunately. He is great in many regards, but still, will never quite get it.... he sees me on this forum and says (tho' very nicely), "arent you over that jehovah witness stuff yet?"...sound like your ex, rodbar? Its like no, lame ass...it doesnt work that way. at least not for me...
and getting back to the subject...
oldflame..sorry to go off on a tangent on your confession of undying love for robdar. (a very very cool lady for sure ) and BTW, since the flowers were my idea, if there is a wedding can i be in it?
