  My uncle was found DEAD this morning

  my jw dad called me this morning and told me that he found my jw uncle dead, face-down on the floor in his home.

  he's taking it hard.

  i was shocked to hear him say that he wanted me to be with the family.

  I am glad I came back around here to read this post. Just what I had on my mind this evening as I was chatting with my girlfriend. I appreciate your ideas about growth.

  Interestingly, I almost married my 'mother' also. It is really funny because people even told me that she looked like my mother. (Actually, it's more scary)

  I am certainly looking forward to new challenges. And women who less resemble my mother.

  are you one of those - or were - that for a long time, what really what made you stay even coming to the point of no-believe in the chronology and the gb?

  I take it from your name that you 'Examined the Scriptures' (was not that exhortation for the Beroeans?) and found them to be uninspiring? I did too. I did not sit around long when I saw the light.

  Despite the oppressive nature of the JW system, it is still a support group that many find difficultly leaving.

  so how small does your "pee pee" have to be to stoop to bashing america on a jw support board?.

  feeling rather put upon for america's sake, living in new york city, feeling like bashing in the brains of anyone who says that americans going about their daily routines "brought this (9/11) upon themselves".

  i will always remember the day i looked out my window at work and saw over 3,000 people dying..

  The bad thing about the governments of which you speak is not Socialism, but rather nationalistic or other ideology. Ideology can also be expressed in Capitalistic nations such as ours. The attitude of 'our way is right, despite whatever the data says' could be the downfall of the US just as it was in the Soviet Union.

  well i went over test results so far and got more to do--as to going into detail well i just as soon not but i did leave outof there with a brand new walkwe - 4 wheels - a seat - a basket and candy apple red !!!

  top of the line in walkers..what else can i say...lisa was in awe when i came back with it...that is it 4 now folks..have a safe and sane 4th all !!!

  if you could "bump your head" and forget all the crap that came with being a witness, would you?

  but, in some way, i think i have grown from the experience & have learned from it, and it has made me be a better personl, less judgemental, more tolerant, more open.

  but, if there was a magic pill to erase it- hmm......hell yes i'd do it!

  I dunno,

  the guilt was a kind of rush sometimes...like when masturbating. What I would give to be a 15 year old JW again... I would masturbate masturbate masturbate (or perhaps even start having sex sex sex) and exult in the guilt!
