first off, i want to give prop's to "dantheman"......that post inspired me to share my experience, and thanks to everyone that responded to my first post under "desperately seeking"....that was a nice welcome.

this might ramble ..... i was born and bred into the borg....my dad was/is an elder, i had a big family, two older sisters, three younger bro's....i was baptized at 15 (i'm 25 now) and tried to pioneer...give talks...have repsonsibilities...but the wrong feeling that had been welling up in my stomach and kept getting stronger as time went on.. when i moved away from my hometown at 17, my life really started to change.....i met an awesome girl (another jw)....and we fell in love pretty quickly...and i also left home and got my own apt.

(much to my fathers sadness).

A Paradise Story! And Ruminations...

you know, everybody secretly has a nasty habit.

some people pick their noses and then lick their fingers, others keep small roosters in their bedrooms for purposes other than the creation of delicious chicken soup.

my nasty little habit is that i hang out on jw websites.

Will Jehovah kill all the parasitic species too?

tapeworms

etc...

Or will he change all of the parasitic species into symbiotic species? Aren't humans parasites too? Why will he stop at 99.9% of humans, since they are parastic carnivores?

President Bush's speech

i wanted to hear the president's speech tonight, but can't stand listening to the man.

he has a prepared speech but he keeps saying nuc-you-lar instead of nuc-le-ar.

i can't stand it.. you would think his people would walk him through correct pronunciation.

Our intelligence couldn't possibly be any better? Is that right?

How hollow the people of the CIA must have felt at that statement. If I were there, I would have felt patronized. Yes, they have done a great job, but refrain from patronizing them.

This man speaks in hyperbole and other illogical rhetoric far too often.

Our intelligence-collecting will improve, Mr. President...just don't continue to put all your chips in the offensive pile.

Go to the CIA webpage to read press releases, from last year and earlier, about suspected terrorist supporting states. You will see just who the key players are. (Note: you will see very little about Iraq)

Let's face it: the United States would like to 'change' no less than 5 regimes in that region. Iraq is a scapegoat. Notice I did not use the word 'innocent', but I maintain that Iraq is a scapegoat.

there have been numerous recent threads about the level of psychiatric illness amongst the jw fraternity.

does anyone have any stories about the way in which this manifested itself with people in their congregations?.

i remember the brother who was found by the police in the early hours of the morning wandering about in the local park.

When I was much younger, a man at the bookstudy (a few years older than my father) stood up and announced to all that he just found out he was of the anointed. It was very awkward.

I had never heard of such an event.

It turned out that he had been missing some prescription medication. Sadly, he died a few years later.

Terrorism In the Chesapeake

have you all heard about the murders going on in the md/dc/va area?

an unknown person has been randomly shooting people going about their daily activities beginning this past wednesdayat 7:41 am, a man mowing his lawn, at 8:12 am, a taxi driver, at 8:37 am, a woman sitting on a public bench, at 9:58 am, a young woman vacuuming her car.

there have been two more murders today.

I visited that whole area recently too...Northern Virginia and Maryland...

this is pointless! There is enough violence where I live.
