We are very excited to announce that on September 29, Pre Paid Legal will be featured on Court TV.

This documentary about Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. will find an audience with those interested in a revolutionary solution to the growing problem of limited access to justice. The program will be informational and educational in nature and provide a glimpse into our unique company and the services we provide.

Far from a typical documentary which focuses on something interesting but may have little direct impact on the individuals viewing it, this program will address needs that most people have.

Most people who do not have access to legal counsel will simply accept their circumstances and go on. When the credit card company charges unfair fees, when your cell phone service provider is unreasonable, or when an invoice is higher than quoted, what can we do but pay and go on?

In many cases, and for most people, it’s not about whether we will absolutely have to have an attorney. It’s more about whether having an attorney could make a difference through empowering us to make better decisions, resolve conflicts, and have peace of mind. This program will address this concept and much more.

Why are people so afraid to question the authenticity of the Bible...

for thousands of years people have taken the bible as the word of god.

what would you do if you found out that it was not.

how would your outlook on the world change.. .

A lot of folks have commented on some of the troubling issues in the bible - seemingly it condones rape, genocide, and other forms of cruelty - of course, those are only acceptable when first vengeful prayers are offered up to the divine - and all with a spirit of righteousness. Think of the alternative for a moment - how easy is it to accept that perhaps there is no deity choosing sides, i.e. who lives and who dies, but instead it's just a mad evolutionary dash to prosperity for you and your genes/offspring? What happens when a rational person realizes the bible is what it is - reflective of the struggle of humanity to survive - yet the most profound 'truth' of life as we know it may very well be - 'fill the earth and subdue it'? I personally think that a significant fraction of people have always been skeptical/doubtful of the 'wisdom of the ages' or the bible. Unfortunately, until very recently, they have been meticulously selected out of the gene pool. I have rambled quite a bit, but a last tidbit would have to be - the bible fairly accurately details how our 'civilization' was built. Yeah - cooperation has been useful within social groups, tribes, nations, empires - but destruction of other groups has served an important role as well. So how is the human race going to survive - i.e. more cooperation and less warfare is an obvious start - now that we have nearly 'filled the earth' to capacity?

i know, every person says that about their inlaws, but the way they treat their family is absolutely horrible.

yes, 'why are people so afraid to question the authenticity of the Bible...'? I personally prefer to hide behind a clown mask and hurl virtual water ballons at lurkers!

did anything in field service make you question the society?

an ex-jehovahs witnesses planted a seed of doubt by stating that she felt to be a good .

witness an individual had to be a conformist.

a young man named Charlie told me he did not believe in God. i replied something like, 'well, wouldn't it be comforting to know that we aren't alone in the universe?'. he then said, 'actually, i find it comforting to think that we are alone in the universe.' i couldn't argue with that! then i promised to come back with some reasons or other as to why the bible was the inspired word of God. our conversation had been much more courteous than it may seem, by the way. anyhow, i then proceeded to go home and actually...read the bible! within a couple of hours, i asked myself some questions i could have never tolerated before. within only a couple of weeks, i was on the fast track to 'inactive and skeptical'. i didn't become bitter until i found this discussion board some months later. still working on that. great topic!

Facing reality about getting older

as jw's we weren't supposed to get that old and fall sick, all depending on how old we were when we joined.. but time is passing by and we are getting older, and sicker and uglier....lol.

was it hard for you to accept that you will one day die, after being told that paradise is just around the corner?.

just this evening i drove home imagining how proud i would be when my son graduates college. he's a little tike now...but time flies i know. i was not prepared for the emotions of the moment...i could barely see through all of the tears. we can open our eyes to life as it is... and we can open our eyes to how great it can be if we get to work on our dreams now instead of later. i will be sure to give him the opportunity to live for HIMSELF and the wisdom to be resposible enough to share himself with THE WORLD. :-)

my second choice is steven simon's (the guy who did "what dreams my come") movie about neale walsh .

I'm not going to spoil the movie...however, if you are curious about the concepts of the movie, do view some of the material at the links for the 'secret teachers' <http://www.thesecret.tv>...I came across something amazing...there has been research showing that a certain density of meditators in a certain metropolitan area during a certain time period has coincided with a reduction in crime and/or violence.
