  I have a question(s)

  i am new to the site, although i have been a lurker for quite some time.

  i was very nervous to create an account.

  all of the people i work for and with are jw's and we are all family.

  Welcome, I.Wonder. Im glad you find some encouragement here, I do too, and I love reading or talking to people who understand it all.

  I did a fade about 8 years ago so I dont have the same problems you are facing. In fact when I was in and trying real hard to get a bible study I was stupendously ineffective! So I guess its harder than you would imagine to get a convert! When I was still trying hard I found the MOST INEFFECTIVE presentation was "hello, would you like a free home bible study?" Guaranteed to fail every time. Second on my innefective list was "Hello I am just asking people what they think to this bible verse?" (then attempt to read a scripture. One from Revelations would kill it dead).

  I used to do 4 hours a month for years. You could report 4 hours by going out twice a month. Or, you could report 4 hours by going out once a month and doing lots of informal witnessing (dont actually DO it, just say you do if anyone challenges you).

  Good luck with your dilemma, and keep checking in when its safe to do so.

  Oh purps this sounds lovely. How nice to maybe possibly be falling in love with a friend. What could be better than being with someone you KNOW you like for lots of reasons and not just because your lady bits like his man bits.

  Sigh.

  You sound like a teenager. I think its lovely. Be scared. Its all part of it.

  how would that make you feel if we were the only pleasant accident in inhospitable universe, if such 'miracle' newer happened elsewhere in our universe?

  if there are no other alien civilizations that could rescue us or ?show us the way?

  I am utterly convinced we are alone. I have no particular evidence to back up my assertion, but I totally think im right!

  As for the second statement - yes well that scares the crap out of me. I try not to think about it.

  Are All the Governing Body Really Old Farts?

  i don't know they all must be pretty old and really set in there ways, especially with all the yes men they surround themselves with you know those gbwanabees at bethel,.

  i would say that all those gbwanabees at bethel must be pretty wierd too.. are(all) right,, what i wanna know is,, are there any younger men on the body so they don't all go senile at once?

  I think the government should set the governing body ethnic diversity targets to make them representative of the community they represent.

  So they would have to be made up of 70% women, have at least 3 window cleaners on the panel, two who have fiddled with kiddies (ah well they have probably already met that target) and one who is related to almost everybody else through the marrage of his enormous, and quite frankly white trash, family.

  I have old farts, hermetically sealed in Mason jars.

  I have spent a lot of my youth musing over how the capture of a fart could be most effectively done. I came to the conclusion that water displacement in the bath would be a 100% method with no loss or leakage. While holding a jar upside down and full of water you would have to 'catch' the fart bubbles as they rose up the bathwater.

  Leading to the question - do all the bubbles rise in the same place for ease of 'catch', or would you have to move the jar around significantly in order to net a healthy amount of gas?

  Also, having executed the 'catch' would you be able to ignite a small flare by simultaneously puncturing a small hole in the lid and holding a flame nearby?

  Back to the real question. I think undoubtedly the ratio of old JW farts compared to old apostate farts is high, due to an increasing amount of young farts leaving the former and joining the latter, hence effectively doubling the effect of young fart loss in the JWs.

  Im in the national newspapers today!

  my partner successfully sued gloucestershire constabulary yesterday.

  we got our day in court, and today we are on the front page of the daily mail and the gloucester citizen, and we are in several other nationals and locals, my partner's been interviewed by sky news and the bbc.. we finally got them to listen to us after ignoring our letters and phone calls for months.

  and it feels fantastic!.

  LMAO at Rebel!

  We had to carry on once we had engaged a solicitor because once we had started incurring costs we had to win to pay him! We will get about 1/3rd of what we won after solicitors fees. But you cant buy media coverage like we have had today.

  I got 9. I thought that was pretty good as I dont live there. Could you place 9 English counties if you were an American? (mind you, could I place 9 English counties, for that matter?!)
