  if it wasn't so sad it'd be laughable.

  here we are this community of ex jw's around the earth trying to make sense of an organisation which we were brought up in, but unknown to us at the time completely, was changing its light on so many different issues.

  they the jw's perceive this as really cool - ahhh new light, smug smiles.

  Ai, when I left at first and in the one or two years after there was the feeling of a great void in my life, a vacuum which needed filling.

  Thankfully over much painstaking thought pattern redressing, I was able to peice those parts of 'me' back together which I then realized had been lost somewhere along the way.

  I'm glad to know myself again and to have a real down to earth relationship with myself and others + events around me. Its taken a while for sure.

  BACK TO BASICS!!!.......

  i have a problem with the whole beginning of the bible.. if i was an angel of god, and i was only exposed to really positive ways of life, god was 100% positive.. the last thing i would think about is turning my back on him.. where did lucifer get his negative way of thinking from???.

  surely, if you are in god's company, it's gonna rub off on you that being nice is the way of life!!!.

  it does not make sense that he should turn into the absolute evil that he is!!!!.

What simple behaviour models have you used that proved most beneficial in your personal healing and recovery and what tips can you pass onto others?

  Sometimes its worried me thinking like this, but as time goes by, it seems more logical to me that perhaps for reasons that I do not yet understand, God himself has a dark side to his nature? Who knows? The questions you are pondering twisted my mind inside out, I looked at these points quite deeply and ended up quite close to insanity. The woven lines of truth and light and lies and darkness seem to be very close to one another.

  Well, where would you put a lie, right over there where it would stand out, or, right alongside light where it couldn't be seen, just as simple answers really, are right underneath our noses.

  The problem with this kind of thinking is that you can enter mind labyrinths, upon entering can often take a while to emerge from again. Also unless you are very interested with for the reasons of thinking behind thinking I would give advice from hard experience to err on the side of caution, as some if not many things are a tad incomprehensible.

  There are many other ways of using your healing properties which although inobvious at times, answers might well come from hitherto directions, that is the mysteriousness of life for you. Sometimes it can be beneficial to reach out for an end goal through the indirect route through a reflexive spirit, rather than a more emotionally damaging direct route. You have to be careful with yourself when touching these theoretical dilemmas.

  hello to onen hag oll (one and all).. my name is mark from the westcountry of the british isles, kernow (cornwall) to be precise, very, very rugged and magical celtic country full of myth, legends and ancient magic.. i was brought up within the borgy bogie balderdash, 3rd generation, father, wt overseer and local and regional assembly, convention organiser.

  my parents are still both in as well as my older sister and her family.

  i was disfellowshipped in april 1995 for anger and swearing.. the journey since has been a tour of magic and mystery, in search of healing and self-belief and empowerment enabling.. i work in community regeneration issues, especially social exclusion and am a full member of independent uk government 'think tank' the community action network (can) www.can-online.org.uk.

  Ruddy Nora Venice, its almost tranquil in here, so dignified, civilised even after Tishies board.

  Wheres the mildly conversational upbeat area? Could you direct me please or anyone else for that matter, cos I got a bit lost wandering around down those corridors back there?

  I can almost visualise my hammock swinging in this cyberspace room, one leg cocked over the side, lazily swinging from side to side reading a good satirical laugh on the Conservatives whupping after the elections here.

  Venice, my minds getting bored. It needs input, more stimulating imformation, more sociology, more psychology and spirituality, its needs generated fun, oh boy, if my minds flying this fast I might just have to go back to the cult of Tripe & Wowhooweena and those women scare me.

  Oh my giddy aunt, the weeks been good, life can be amazingly good when you put the effort back in to reshape and redefine things. Everything seems to be moving in the seemingly 'proper job' direction, it is this that sometimes positively worries me, that stuff is actually going to plan, I was accustomed to life being far more cockeyed than this.

  Direct me gal (ladies welcome too and grudgingly you guys can lend a hand, I just don't find your, I mean, our species as sexually, well, you know what I'm trying to say, ... attractive), I need a firm hand, any suggestions from you or anyone else?

They the JW's perceive this as really cool - ahhh new light, smug smiles. Ummmmm - The absolute absurdity I see now.

  Here we are trying to make head or tail of it all having come from such a rigid belief that everything they were telling us was right, unless you were a rather questioning smart ass like me, who always perhaps like you had her / his doubts.

  Why did my mind ask 'why?' so much? Perhaps because early on it knew that what I was being taught was basically a lot of codswallop.

  If the borg has taught me one thing, it has given me the ability to see through the bull and it doesn't just exist within that culture.

  All I can proffer, is to find that which gives you a sense of direction, wellness and wholeness within. On the outside then, you will reflect this knowing, to others, and infectiously theres a great deal of assistance, and windows of opportunity opening up, for many, upon, a positive and upbeat path.

  What do you excel at as a person, what are your interests? What are you more naturally adept at? Find yourselves through those activities that give you and others that little extra happiness and build upon that as a foundation to further life enhancement changes.

  Keep your chins up and remain focussed

  Volunteers to help with the site...

  i'm sure you've all noticed that we have grown quite a bit over the last few months and seem to get busier every week with more people joining every day.. while i do my best to read and monitor all the threads on the forum to make sure that no one causes trouble it is becoming very difficult to do this all the time.

  with this in mind, i'd like to ask for some volunteers to help keep an eye on things who i will setup with some extra permissions.. i don't intend for the forum to be 'ruled over with an iron fist' or anything like that.

  it would really be so that we could respond quickly if anyone started causing trouble (eg.

  The CAN Community Action Network is a community based pro-active think tank dealing with all issues relating to community deprivation nationally and internationally especially within the arena of social exclusion which definately applies to ex jw's.
