Stickers on magazines
by Apostanator inwhenever i would see a watchtower or awake at the laundromat, i used to just rip them up and throw them away.
but now i carry labels on me that have been printed off my computer and stick them on the mags.
i have several types that are printed with such sayings as ( " this is a cult " included with freeminds website ) and ( "jehovah's witnesses cover-up child rape and abuse " included with silent lambs website ) i feel this is more successful as the magazine cannot be picked up without having the sticker in your face.

Presiding Overseer Says They Will Ask If You Still Want To Be A Jehovah's W
by minimus inthe local needs talk on thursday discussed a few different things, according to my mom.
but the one that stood out most was that he announced that based on the new book, the elders will be checking on those that have not been associating with the congregation for some time.
they will ask, "do you still want to be a jehovah's witness?

I was wondering why my sister never called me back thursday evening. Perhaps they had a similar talk in her hall. I have ongoing issues with her and she is probably being squeezed by her hubby and the tower

Thanks es.
I figure the stickers draw attention to the magazines and puts the Witnesses in a position where they are questioned. I also think that when the witnesses come to re-fill the laundromat, they get a reverse witness. Who knows, maybe they'll seek out information, seeing that the Watchtower doesn't like to let them know such things.

dropped wife off at convention this morn...
by tetrapod.sapien ini just got back home from dropping my wife off at the convention this morning.
i took the day off of work so i could celebrate the occasion of freedom from mass-delusional-cult-think-programming.
out on the porch, sun shinning, birds chirping, scotch in one hand, demon haunted world in the other.. as i was driving my wife to the convention grounds, she thanked me for all the help i had provided her in getting ready for the convention, and for driving her.

I think it's awesome that you told your wife that she is a beautifull and intelligent person. She will remember that, just as she aknowledged that an apostate was kind enough to take the day off of work to drive her to the assembly. It sounds like she is subconsciencely aware. Good luck and keep up with the positive feedback, you know she's probably not getting that kind of feedback from the group.

Looking for a long, lost friend - moved from AR to MA in early 90's
by Faierie ini'm looking for my long, lost best friend from childhood.
i was told she was df'd, or that her parents were - the details were fuzzy.
anyway, her first name is iantha, and she moved from nw arkansas to massachusetts in the early 90's, and she would be in her late 20's (i'm 28, so she'd be around that age).

This is the first time I feel comfortable posting something. I've been a lurker for over a year and I must say there are a lot of courageous people here who left the Watchtower. Thank god for the internet and sites like this. I've done a lot of research on them and clearly realize that it is a cult. I just want to say that I am very sad and angry because this cult has seperated my family from me. I can relate to danny hazzard and garybuss. My heart goes out to cruzanheart, so sad about what happened to her father.
I have not been able to keep quiet on how the Watchtower continually deceives its members and how they create a facade for the public. They remind me of the Wizard of Oz ( don't pay attention to the man behind the curtain ) and also of the old indian say....white man speaks with forked tongue. They are spin doctors and rely on the ignorance of people. I actively expose the Jehovahs Witness organization for what they are and have been on the local news station twice educating the public. I also take part in area campaigns. I have nothing to lose. Sometime I'll tell you my story. I just want to thank all of you for unknowingly helping me cope.
Thanks
