Yes I have changed my phone number because of them. When I moved, I sent them my DA letter with my PO Box as a return adress. They couldn't find me !!!!

Did you ever have to change phone number because of the JW's?

often, i changed phone number in the past, so that they wouldn't bother me.
i remember being active and going to the meetings, but i still wanted none of them to have my phone number, knowing i would one day be inactive.. how about you, ever change phone number because of them?.

Death In the Family, How do I handle this ??? HELP !!!
by run dont walk inmy mom (die hard witness), is not doing well, she called me for the first time in over 3 years on sunday, she probaly has a year or less left in her, we had a good chat, she cried alot and said how sorry she was, and that there might be something to the things i have said.
(wow i almost fell over).
and then today my grandma died at age 100 (witness for 75 years +).

I'm sorry for your loss. I will be facing similar circumstances when my mom passes away. You may want to consider spending some private time with your mom at the funeral home. If you don't want to be around the Witnesses, you could ask the funeral director if he would allow you to visit your mom after hours. ( I'm sure he would ) After she is buried, you could also spend some private time with her when everybody leaves.

i am at a point were i want to present them a book on cults.
i have nothing to lose as they have dis-owned me for years and have only recently came back into my life as a result of my moms illness ( alzeimers ) these people are driving me nuts!!!

The next cover-up or scandal?

with the population aging and with jw's becomming incresingly poor, there will be a lot more elder abuse, and i don't mean congregation elders, but elderly people.. does anyone know of this taking place in the congregations?.

I think there is a real probability that the Watchtower will put the push on for the elderly to leave their worldly possesions to them. You know how they always have their yearly " How To Give " articles in the Watchtower. Seeing that so many families have been alienated by Watchtower policy, they could present information in their mags. that having wordly family members in your will would be like leaving your valuables to Satan. I know when my mom dies I won't be getting anything, she probably has the WBTS listed in her will, thinking that she has put Kingdom interests first right up till her death. I'll contest it though !
