Anyone Know what happened to the Video that's brought down many JWs to Ex-JW land?
by PokerPlayerPhil ini've been looking for a video done by someone who shows the warning by jesus saying "if anyone comes to you and say's "the appointed time is near" you are to run from them!
two people who left the watchtower said this has been one of the most powerful videos to get inside the heads of really smart elders and witnesses that don't come the regular way.. the gist of the video is the watchtower wrote a book called "the appointed time is near" and this goes against everything jesus christ warned people.
the problem with the watchtower's followers is they need "omens", "portents", "signs" to keep their followers following along their path lead by that dried up old carrot (the end) or (the appointed time).

Excatly FInkel, this video is something special that shows the book Rutherford wrote about the "Appointed Times are Neigh" and I can't even find that book either. Since the Watchtower followers don't use the Bible or practice it's instructions it's so hard to get them to see the "Test of the False Prophet" in Deut 20-30s don't apply to them because they make lame excuses of "We are just zealous" which is a lie.

Last night I read Galatians and Ephesians and it's making me kick myself why I allowed the Watchtower Society to tell me the New Testament only belonged to the Annointed or those in the "Other Sheep".
The Bible is clear, there are only two groups in it, the Jews and those in the New Covenant. Paul attacks the liars who were not obeying the instruction given by Jesus Christ, people who were re-crucifying Jesus Christ because they thought they should make the new followers obey the Law eve though the "Law leads to Death" Galatians 3-5 proves it. Paul fought against the fake teachers, he was not a mean man and when you read his letters you get the feel he loved the sheep, his desire was to keep them from getting bent up by false teachers and obeying the Law that showed we all are messed up and can't earn our way to Salvation, only by Faith!

why did man go from living 900 years to 90?
by sowhatnow ini cant recall the scripture, where it says than only a few men will he live to be 80 years or so, can anyone recall that?.
so then im wondering, if it is a fact that men lived long years 900 in some cases, for what reason would god limit our lifespan if our time is so short compared to his?.
how on earth does man go from living 8 and 9 hundred years down to 80 to 100 ?.

Let's have a fun discussion I've heard spoken by people who believe humans were able to live long lives like Noah as we move towards "Trans Humanism" moving the Conscious in to half-robots and millions of nano-bots to keep part of us from dying. There is a article I read describing how the age of humans will get boosted to 150-200 before the 22nd Century that's pretty creepy. How do you know it's you that's inside or is it nothing more than a copy and not the original?
The question you need to ask is why did Noah's kids age fall off a cliff after the flood? Micheal Jackson belived this part of the story and sat in a hyperbaric chamber each day because it's suppose to mess with free radicals and add life to our short span.
Next is the theory that male sperm after age forty beings to deteriorate very quickly, the odds of having children with defects goes up with both men and women after age forty according to genetics articles. Noah was 500 years old when he had his kids, that might explain why their life span dropped rapidly as opposed to having kids when he was 40 in this Pre-Flood World. Adding the "Old Sperm" theory on top of the radiation that came freely because the water canopy no longer blocked out harmful UVs that age us to, that's part of the picture why people think we age quicker.
Why did Noahs kids, kids age fall down the raven too, that's a good question because you would think their DNA was still pretty strong since their only one generation away from prime DNA of Noah. Is it really hard to imagine if human beings unlocked the aging code we could no live to be two or three hundred years old if science made some incredible break-through with nanobots that re-generated the human cells making us look good?
Nobody here will participate with the Trans-human Experiment because were not rich enough and this would be set for people like Stephen Hawkings, Walt Disney and Bill Gates and that type of cream of the crop human beings!

From a utilitarian perspective, Brave New World is describing a utopia. Indeed, this utopia is in line with modern-day abolitionist ideology which seeks to use transhumanism to totally abolish the suffering of sentient beings (hence the name ‘abolitionism’). An important point to take away from Brave New World is that this utilitarian utopia has no use for freedom. Freedom gives one the choice to make poor decisions which could potentially lower the overall utility for the individual and perhaps even society as a whole. Many proponents of utilitarianism, both in the past and present, have defended individual freedom on the grounds that the individual knows best how to increase their own happiness. But these theories are describing humans, not transhumans. As Huxley argued, transhumans can be programmed against their will, so to speak, to be happier than if they were given the freedom to make decisions for themselves. And therein lies the conflict between utilitarianism and freedom."

Let's play around with the idea as it were real, if humans believe their able to extend life using nanobots and new robotic bodies why can't we have this discussion for fun? Let's call it Science Fiction if you want, could the Aliens that started life on Earth tinker with human age if they desired because they wanted to see how long humans should live and at one point in time they hit the maximum benefit before longer life brought a diminished return to overall mankind?
One interesting theory I read is based off evil, if the most wicked human beings were allowed to live for 200-900 you can imagine how bad things would get. Since we are all prone to the Devils temptations under this version of history, could a human being who made it to ruler have furthered the End of the World through their genius? Imagine if the greatest scientists ever, hit their prime in their 90s, they lived on to be 300-500 years old could some bad guys live long enough to pick the best and brightest humans from the Race to further their wicked intentions bringing us all under their domination? Remember, I am talking Science Fiction like L. Ron Hubbard who wrote about Xenu living for Millions of Years buried on Earth in a Volcano! Please give me the courtesy and add your own ideas how humans could live long lives through Science Fiction if that's how you want to label our this thread! :)

How Come the Watchtower does not admit "We Don't Know Anything About Bible Prophecy" and come clean?

i am the first one to tell my kids "i don't know s&^^ about this or that subject", if the watchtower is truly our brother or spiritual mother why don't they tell us the following questions we all have asked them?.
1. we screwed up about 1914 and "life is short, go live your life to the fullest while maintaining justice and morality, don't hurt your fellow man by making his life screwed up!.

Do you think the Watchtower leaders feel the same way and use all the membership as some annuitiy for their retirement?
Simon, you have not comment on this, can you provide your insights because we really do enjoy how you speak your mind and say things many of us cant! I know we have many good posts here, is it possible we all are missing a bigger picture why they won't come clean? Is it like Satyam's CEO who was a fraud and would spend the next decade in prison?

Jake when Smart Money or Old Money is involved usually lawyers on each side draw up the financial arrangements instead of Watchtower "Trust me and sign this!" deeds. The family's parents invented some gadget we all use daily and many more, Watchtower would have liked the parents to hand that lump some over unconditionally without the ability to call that money but the mother was shrewd to have her lawyers make sure the kids could get that money when they needed after a grace period with the Watchtower. They held that money for over a decade, too bad all that interest free cash got taken away because their run-away PO and his wife had a grudge against them. It's sad we all don't have the same economic value(spiritual value) in the eyes of the Organization, money talks with Watchtower and Publishers without can walk out without being heard from again!
I wish I could get all the nitty-gritty details on this because we could put yoke in the Organization's eye by showing how it's all about the Green Handshakes and Mattresses, not intrinsic value of each Publisher! I enjoyed your insights on this topic, it sounds like you know all to well how "get together", gatherings can be used to punish families or single people that did not do anything wrong or refused to become embroiled in some nasty intra-family hate feud!

I never meant this to be a male vs female situation, all I wanted to know was which sex in your Kingdom Hall seemed to display qualities not so befitting of a Christian. When it comes to Judicial Comittites men are suppose to think for themselves but some men would share intimate details with their wives and get their wife's input on how to execute directions from the Slave.
Social Circles in my area, actually I saw that men could stomp on the invites of people or families they considered weak where the women actually wanted the families to show off their wealth or JW Prestige which is another odd piece of data about the Kingdom Hall I use to attend. There were two Elders in a verbal fight and soon the Kingdom Hall divided up in to three fragments, those on Elder A's side, those on Elder B's side and those who wanted to know "Why in the Hell the Kingdom Hall is fragmented and behaving like Junior High School kids?'. Social Circles in other Kingdom Halls were controlled by the women because more often than not, the bad JW men were working one or two jobs to keep their family afloat while their nasty wives were working part-time and had more time to help design the gathering and plot who would not be invited out of sheer spite. Please note the majority of JWs are not bad (men and women), a few can really bring out qualities they escaped from their churches or dysfunctional families to the promised family the Watchtower's publications said was waiting for "honest heart'ed ones seeking a real family Jesus spoke about" only to learn this was another lie!
The Circuit Overseer called several families because the entire Kingdom Hall was invited to a function except three families and boy where they pissed off. The root of the problem was the families not invited would not get involved with the Kingdom Hall politics, they refused to take sides and ended up not getting invited while those who voted for Pedro and Cathy all got invited, that was contrived by two elderettes confirmed by the CO who investigated this because one of the uninvited families asked for their "Conditional Donation" back, they called the Paper and the Watchtower wanted to know why!
The moral of the story is, take a side in Kingdom Hall Politics unless you loaned the Watchtower almost Eight Figures because they will get to the root of who or what was behind the evil in your Kingdom Hall. I wonder if that Elder knew that family had "family money" sitting in the Watchtower's Safety deposit box? He still got his money back is what I heard and the Watchtower was very upset losing all that capital over petty hateful squabbles!
