I don't think violent protest will solve anything either, fear never producing the outcome we all desire because one group will suffer. I am speaking about a protest, a grassroots movement coordinated by people who are trust worthy because these bums in office need a tossing out the door. Have your grandpa give you his signs from his teenage years that read "Throw All the Bums Out of Office!", they had those signs and stood out in front of their Reps offices and things got done. Something broke back when Rodney King was beaten to a pulp, it's been building like a slow growing cancer that's fully metastasized and now we noticed the symptoms finally. The Media helps by bringing it to our attention, it's not like they really care or want change, Fox News sure don't care how African Americans are. Fox News only cares how their Rich Patrons are, not the poor members struggling to make a living.
Simon you post about this being a issue of "rich vs poor" and not "black vs white" is so correct and people with run in's with the law since childhood nailed it! What can we do to change people who might get voted in under the promise of "Change" and nothing happens because their happy to wine and dine on the tax-payer's cash while being suited by Corporate America? What can we do besides feel powerless, if numbers from the WSJ and Bloomberg are true, the average household in the United States has less than $8000 in assets that can be readily turn to cash.

The lack of change happening through peaceful protesting is definitely changing how groups are handling themselves. Look what happened three years ago with the "Wall Street" protesters that were pissed off they could not find jobs with degrees, were living with their parents and politicians were only worried about getting re-elected (you get a full pension after serving 5 years as a Senator and Congressman-woman), the March on Wall Street was a total failure with no follow up.
DOC makes a point that's ringing loud in the United States, I asked people what they think and surprisingly they are for a more active, less passive role in trying to make changes. The USA has toppled many Middle Eastern Governments through bloodshed and violence, nothing gets done through peaceful means here because the people are too disconnected with their fellows cause. If people were unified and thought the issues through like we do here, the politicians would be scared as hell and people like the Koch Brothers money would not mean shit! It's everyone who sits on the ass asking others to make the tough choices they should be doing by voting for better representation.
You want good cities, you want good wages, you want good food but your not willing to fight for these. If people really cared about others, Walmart would be out of business for hiring slave-labor, low-life leader of business practices instead of thriving. Why are people fighting each other instead of heading to the roots of these problems and going after those who destroyed the inner-city schools, stole money from programs to get kids from the worst parts of the city on track for a chance! Fox News Talking Heads preach "The American Dream is alive and well for everyone!", that's bullshit according to men like Malcom Gladwell(I know he's not the best person to post here but he cares and tells things as best as his stats will show(assuming he's not skewing them)). Conservative Economist and the White Propaganda Machine (Ditto Head), (Lover of Bush-Clinton or Rand Paul) preach such nonsense, the Left are not fear mongering, the real Liberals are not afraid to pay their fair share of taxes as long as they help the US instead of being wasted on Military Weapons and Regime Toppling in the Middle East!

A large portion of outspoken Evangelicals don't rely on End Time Prophets like Hal Lindsay's collection (starting in 1969) "The Late Great Planet Earth" and Dr. Harold Camping's End Time predictions, all the prophets of the Rapture are remnants of a time past. I read nice articles by good writers who are not focused on grinding your teeth, preventing people from living a good life or the "doctrine of fear". These guys are brutal against Cults, they don't like people who mistreat others(Shunning is ineffective and demonic according to them) unless the person is someone who hurts little children or blows people up or extorts and extracts illicit gains via things like "child labor", "sex trade", "drug thugs" and "terrorist". The Watchtower can't even come forward with any statement against the killings, the maiming of Christians through Radical Islamic regions.
When was the last time you heard of a Watchtower defender going before the students at Oxford or Harvard to share their wisdom, their social morals to change people's greed or offer cups of water to peaceful protesters trying to change the abuse in their community?
The Watchtower has morphed in to a 700 Club, PTL or Jimmy Swaggart type Organization except they don't show pictures of the starving children or interview the missionaries working to change poverty, develop clean drinking water or solar stoves in Africa and Asia. The Watchtower besides the West-borough Baptist church causes more pain to members and society than good. Since nobody knows when the End will come, why don't they focus on helping humanity instead of creating more shell corporations to hide their money from the lawyers suing for poor-practices of managing pedophiles in the 2000 back to our childhood? I can't see any value the Watchtower is having us, their like fleas or ticks , their parasites using resources without putting anything back. Wasted money to fly Tony Morris to harass homosexuals, deplorable amounts of money are spent to send the jokers to share their intense personal dislikes to anyone stupid enough to obey them.
Catholics do lots for the World through charity, Fundamental Christians in certain churches are trying to make a change for the good, the Watchtower won't move until they see their approach is worthless. What's going to make the Watchtower get unstuck from decades of failed doctrines, worthless teachings and ruined lives and deaths from the Blood Doctrine, lots of people will have to stop attending and donations need to stop and then their will get New Light from their god telling them "We humbly apologize for being calloused men and want you to enjoy as much life, stop feeling guilt over issues that don't bother us(taking vacations with the intent of enjoyment instead of missionary vacations the GB does not do!) working extra to stay afloat and free thinking to question areas that won't kill off the Organization. The Mormons don't expel people for asking questions the Watchtower does, the Fundamentals will not label you "Apostate" for disagreeing with the church pastor!

two people who left the watchtower said this has been one of the most powerful videos to get inside the heads of really smart elders and witnesses that don't come the regular way.. the gist of the video is the watchtower wrote a book called "the appointed time is near" and this goes against everything jesus christ warned people.
the problem with the watchtower's followers is they need "omens", "portents", "signs" to keep their followers following along their path lead by that dried up old carrot (the end) or (the appointed time).

You saw one of the Governing Body reps say "There's more proof for 1914 than there is for air, gravity and ???" don't know what he's talking about but all the JWs without brains enjoyed his bumbling attempt at defending the bunk doctrine of 1914!
Really what does knowing anything about 1914 have to do with living the life of a teacher who taught his followers to love each other with the same love you want to be treated with? How does knowing about 1914 help the youth make good choices today, by scaring them out of attending college and thinking outside the box? You have discredited their false teaching of 1914 over and over and still they won't allow that doctrinal corpse to be buried! Thank you for finding this, can't figure out why i could not find it!

Paul the Pendelum of Abuse has swung to the far side of Society's Clock. I remember as a kid living in WEHO how disrespectul kids were to the officers on career day. Kids under their breath calling the police officer "Pig" or "Knarck" because they thought this would impress their fellow classmates. When did the Police turn from protective men to the militarized soldiers of the City, think "Escape from New York" style cities dealing with civil insanity.
Chicago on Robocop, Society has become so unmanageable you need robotic weapons or another scenario is Stallone in "Judge Dread", Hollywood's Sci-Fy writers has a bleak scenario written out for you and me and especially the poor who will get scooted in to some nasty region to live(think Matt Damon and Jody Foster movie living above Earth in some utopia with limited resources as humans struggle to eat).

Excatly FInkel, this video is something special that shows the book Rutherford wrote about the "Appointed Times are Neigh" and I can't even find that book either. Since the Watchtower followers don't use the Bible or practice it's instructions it's so hard to get them to see the "Test of the False Prophet" in Deut 20-30s don't apply to them because they make lame excuses of "We are just zealous" which is a lie.

Last night I read Galatians and Ephesians and it's making me kick myself why I allowed the Watchtower Society to tell me the New Testament only belonged to the Annointed or those in the "Other Sheep".
The Bible is clear, there are only two groups in it, the Jews and those in the New Covenant. Paul attacks the liars who were not obeying the instruction given by Jesus Christ, people who were re-crucifying Jesus Christ because they thought they should make the new followers obey the Law eve though the "Law leads to Death" Galatians 3-5 proves it. Paul fought against the fake teachers, he was not a mean man and when you read his letters you get the feel he loved the sheep, his desire was to keep them from getting bent up by false teachers and obeying the Law that showed we all are messed up and can't earn our way to Salvation, only by Faith!

by sowhatnow ini cant recall the scripture, where it says than only a few men will he live to be 80 years or so, can anyone recall that?.
so then im wondering, if it is a fact that men lived long years 900 in some cases, for what reason would god limit our lifespan if our time is so short compared to his?.
how on earth does man go from living 8 and 9 hundred years down to 80 to 100 ?.

Let's have a fun discussion I've heard spoken by people who believe humans were able to live long lives like Noah as we move towards "Trans Humanism" moving the Conscious in to half-robots and millions of nano-bots to keep part of us from dying. There is a article I read describing how the age of humans will get boosted to 150-200 before the 22nd Century that's pretty creepy. How do you know it's you that's inside or is it nothing more than a copy and not the original?
The question you need to ask is why did Noah's kids age fall off a cliff after the flood? Micheal Jackson belived this part of the story and sat in a hyperbaric chamber each day because it's suppose to mess with free radicals and add life to our short span.
Next is the theory that male sperm after age forty beings to deteriorate very quickly, the odds of having children with defects goes up with both men and women after age forty according to genetics articles. Noah was 500 years old when he had his kids, that might explain why their life span dropped rapidly as opposed to having kids when he was 40 in this Pre-Flood World. Adding the "Old Sperm" theory on top of the radiation that came freely because the water canopy no longer blocked out harmful UVs that age us to, that's part of the picture why people think we age quicker.
Why did Noahs kids, kids age fall down the raven too, that's a good question because you would think their DNA was still pretty strong since their only one generation away from prime DNA of Noah. Is it really hard to imagine if human beings unlocked the aging code we could no live to be two or three hundred years old if science made some incredible break-through with nanobots that re-generated the human cells making us look good?

People are conditioned from birth to appreciate their lot in life using a variety of transhumanist techniques, such as hypnopaedic learning, subliminal advertising, genetic engineering and copious drug use. Illness in every form has been eliminated and citizens are conditioned to accept aging and death completely without worry. There are no families as that introduces too much variability into social order. Instead children are developed ex vitro using carefully refined laboratory techniques and raised through a very strict social structure.
From a utilitarian perspective, Brave New World is describing a utopia. Indeed, this utopia is in line with modern-day abolitionist ideology which seeks to use transhumanism to totally abolish the suffering of sentient beings (hence the name ‘abolitionism’). An important point to take away from Brave New World is that this utilitarian utopia has no use for freedom. Freedom gives one the choice to make poor decisions which could potentially lower the overall utility for the individual and perhaps even society as a whole. Many proponents of utilitarianism, both in the past and present, have defended individual freedom on the grounds that the individual knows best how to increase their own happiness. But these theories are describing humans, not transhumans. As Huxley argued, transhumans can be programmed against their will, so to speak, to be happier than if they were given the freedom to make decisions for themselves. And therein lies the conflict between utilitarianism and freedom."
