Kind of looking for a quick update
by free2beme ini have been out of the religion since 1996. i used to come to former witness boards a lot in the distant past, and then i lost interest in the subject.
however, with a couple relatives still in and passing the 1914 one hundred year mark, i find myself looking to see what a modern jehovah's witness is believing.
could i get kind of an update on some things.

Village-Idiot nice summation of events, maybe this user's not aware of the troublesome old change in JW Theology of the "Never Ending Generation" Old Man Barr created while free-styling it at the AGM back in 2005? This teaching is blurred lines, no JW can explain the "Generation Teaching" using the Bible, Dictionary or historical doctrine of Judeo-Christian teachings, a teaching so distorted their trying to avoid talking about this little gem every-time someone brings it up! You did a great job bringing this guy up to speed, well done!
While listening to a news clip dating from the 1990s amazing how things on the politics spectrum has not changed one bit. People were worried Bill Clinton was going to take their guns (1996), Government was going to take over our lives and steal from the rich citizens protecting the poor. The Republicans were saying they were against spending-deficits (Gulf War 2, Medicare Part D Drug $1 Trillion dollar expansion) and claiming they were protecting the seniors from dipping in Social Securities Trust Fund (The Republicans have been trying to dig in to this Fund since the 1980s and recently some Republicans are trying to get their hands on the Social Security Trust Fund, what dicks!)
It's true, "Headline News is the same bad things happening to new people!", how soon we forget the past and that's how the Watchtower Religion likes it, they hope people forget how bad the Congregation was and hope their new brochure draws them back in this Black Hole of emotional and mental freedom!

It's not as productive as door-to-door was and that's not saying much! When I was handling the literature-rack, very very and did I mention, very few people even looked our direction. As time passes by we can see the predictions made by the Watchtower Society throughout the Blue Book came true. Watchtower said the "Preaching Work will be completed in the 20th Century, tha tha that's All Folks!"
It's hard to reason with these people now, their ignorant of the Bible, their Past and religious doctrines of various churches. We are the generation that had the most Bible and secular knowledge of all the JW generations, now kids don't care about doctrine what value will the JWs offer? It's a fact the Assembly Parts were bogus, many stories were dressed-up to make them what our COs wanted them to look like or present a half-truth story to encourage the sheeples.

Are Jehovah's Witnesses ever "good enough", must they remain anxious and fragile for fear they will not be saved by their works?
by Trailer Park Pioneer inas a jehovah's witness you know you can never do enough without hearing stories of another witness doing twice what your doing and living off half the money your living on because they give all their time and money to the watchtower.
this is totally bunk, reading romans 7:21-24 paul knew his condition was hopeless without the free gift from god.
paul put all his emphasis on jesus christ, not some self-appointed apostles whose proof offered up is over 150 years of failed prophecy!

I was never good enough either and suffer from guilt still, why is that? -

Jehovah's Witnesses Are "The Religion Of Hatred!" Why Would We Want To Return To Your Organization?
by PokerPlayerPhil ini saw some of the quotes coming out of the new assembly brochure "return to jehovah", why would anyone abused by the congregation decide to return for more hate by the congregation?
jehovah's witness are the first one's who tell you "we are god's organization because we are the only religion that has the love jesus christ spoke about!
", that's a big whooper!

After suffering decades from their wicked "older and younger" ones, why beg the physically and verbally abusive spouse to take you back? What is the Watchtower offering those who got screwed, good people treated badly by conscienceless sociopaths? This makes no sense unless you enjoy their roller-coaster theology, monthly changes in eschatology and "The Great Crowd" of Hate Filled Witnesses who don't care about anyone but their own salvation and probably never noticed you've been gone for ten years!

I saw some of the quotes coming out of the new Assembly brochure "Return to Jehovah", why would anyone abused by the Congregation decide to return for more hate by the congregation? Jehovah's Witness are the first one's who tell you "We are God's Organization because we are the only religion that has the love Jesus Christ spoke about!", that's a big whooper! Recently the Organization said "They would not become totally corrupt"(recent Watchtower Speaker said) which implies it's corrupted, right? You and only the Watchtower's victims of these Kingdom Halls truly know how deep their hate runs. There are Elders and Elders wives with their conduct that helped you exit straight out the door after suffering so long. These same ones who are satisfied by hurting others only prove their place in Gehenna is secured and Jehovah want's nothing to do with them! Think about how Jehovah's Witnesses in action don't care about their fellow mankind and the suffering of different groups around the are enduring, they don't care what happens to others in the World. We heard about countries JWs suffered in but what did they do to get others to notice their afflictions? Did they help other people's plights get noticed with their Global Magazines and try to expose the suffering or worry about themselves?
Recently a barge sunk off the coast of Libya with refugees from Senegal, Nigeria, Mawli(biggest Marine disaster in history maybe) and various other countries suffering from massive bloodshed while the Watchtower remains silent unless their personally effected! Think back about how the Watchtower asked you to write so the Witnesses (not Mormons, nor Christians or any other prisoners of conscience they could help) might get freedom in Eritrea, avoid paying taxes in France and religious freedom in Russia. As stated before, they don't lift a finger to aid any other group suffering the same persecutions Jehovah's Witnesses are because The Watchtower Companies don't consider them human unless their promoting the Watchtower's Agenda. Witnesses don't consider non-Witnesses lives as equal value, you never heard them pray (I heard many times, "No Witnesses lived their so no real issue!"
Let me say this again, why would anyone who got their self-worth back, finally got over the guilt and heart pounding anxiety Meetings brought each week desire to take up the Billion Dollar Company's offer to Return to Jehovah's "Man Made Organization" that recently admitted the suffering the Witnesses who left was from a corruption they know was brought about by their unpaid Elders and glory crazed Elderettes? Couples who are the stumbling blocks Jesus warned us about, they don't care if they caused the "little ones to fall away" because their plain evil (Matt 18:16), (Mark 9:42), (Luke 17:2)! Jesus said "A Wicked Tree Can't Produce Good Fruit" (Matt 7:18) so why would you try to graft yourself as a good branch to a tree infested by spiritual bacteria, bugs and fungus and defiling yourself because the Farmer (Organization) refuses to use preventative care and maintenance because their too worried about kicking people out of the Organization instead of caring for those who really once loved it?

Road to Revenge, it's been a long time since that Kingdom Hall incident, JWs are very lucky exJWs are not radical individuals and more peaceful than they are.

"During my research for my book The Family Court Murders (published by Random House next week), which was sparked by a story I worked on as associate producer of Channel Seven'sSunday Night, I located excommunicated Jehovah's Witnesses Anne and Warryn Stuckey. The Stuckeys had left the church long before the Casula hall was bombed and lived at an isolated farmhouse in NSW. With media interest high following the 1985 bombing, Warryn had answered a TV journalist's question about what sort of person might be responsible for the bombing.
While he "utterly condemned the action", he added that "I have met people who have been sufficiently disturbed by what's happened to the family [after excommunication] to take that course". Shortly after, they received an unexpected visit from a stranger with a hard, pock-marked face, who sat at their kitchen table complaining that his wife was involved with the Jehovah's Witnesses and demanding whether, because Warryn had spoken on television, they knew the identity of the bomber. "The hairs went up on the back of my neck," Anne recalls. "I realised with horror that I was looking at the bomber." When he didn't get the information he wanted, the stranger left.
Two years later, while watching the news on TV, Anne saw an image of Leonard Warwick as he walked from the 1986 coronial inquest into the death of Graham Wykes during the hall bombing. "I screamed out to Warryn, 'Quick – this is the same man who came to our house asking strange questions.' " Anne has no doubt about his identity. "It was Leonard Warwick," she shudders. "It still terrifies me."
Last year, following the airing of the Sunday Night story, the NSW Unsolved Homicide Unit announced the formation of a task force dedicated to examining these cases. Andrea, who has now reverted to her maiden name, Blanchard, takes a cynical view of the new investigation. "It took 'em bloody long enough, didn't it?" she says."

Do Kingdom Hall congregations communicate with each other?
by Faithful Witness inwhen asked, my mom denies that they do.... do local congregations pass along gossip or reports on householders in the area?
specifically, i am wondering if they might report on (unbaptized) family members that live in other towns?.
since the abrupt ending of my bs with miss k, i have not heard from the jw's at all.

Yes, I know for a fact the elders were sharing disfellowshings with others and spread gossip(spiritual concern) about families and members they were trying to get dirt on. JWs are not the brightest and don't want to believe the truth they are not living among people who love them. There's a poster who shared information that certain elders would call and shoot the breeze about judicial proceedings happening out of boredom.
