Nope! and I feel even on this board your face has to 'fit'!! I have tried with this board, but find that it is as 'clicky' as was in the congregations! Don't know what I am doing wrong, but don't know if I want to try any more! You all seem to get off on bitching about JW's, then do a bit of love bombing yourselves when a newbie comes on, but then its back to the good 'ol' bitchin! Think you need to move on with your lives and do something positive. Nothing good comes from being so bloomin negative!

Curious...

Well I get the bit about JW's concentrating on OT more, but I have always valued Jesus example and always believed that even as a JW I was a Christian. The thing is if I were to be involved in anything else, I would have to examine it inside out and backwards, but like many I don't know if I have the energy, I still feel totally drained from the JW experience, and I suppose I am still coming to terms with them not having the 'truth'. It makes sense to me that there is such a thing as 'truth', but now I am very unsure whether we are meant to find it. My conclusions at the moment is that whichever experience we have gone through in our search for God, and the way we dealt with that experience, is the way in which God judges us..?? mmm not sure I have worded that right?? Maybe what I am saying is that 'all roads' can lead to God, but it depends upon our actions in whatever situation we find ourself in. I have also been told that it is very difficult to break the mind control of former JW's, and with the struggle I am having to consider anything outside of them (while never wanting to go back) seems to agree with that.
Keep your comments coming! they help me realise that I am not the only that has been left floundering, like a fish out of water, with no sense of where I am going or even if I want to go anywhere.

Of course it counts Ozzie! but in what way do you mean you have 'become' Christians, didn't you consider yourself as Christian when you were a JW??
Forgive me all for asking this, I suppose it is a sensitive issue, but like some of you that have already answered I have felt that there possibly is no 'truth' any more, but I hear from some who feel they have found it elsewhere so I am intrigued.

Welcome Jdarley!!! Phew! looking at the many replies you have had you certainly have a lot of food for thought here. All I can add is that the people on here are genuine, caring people who will answer whatever questions you have to the best of their ability. Some have had many years of life experience as well as experience as JW's. Altogether we come on here to help each other make sense of belief systems. Many also have a lot of knowledge of the bible so where you may not get satisfactory answers from JW's you will always find someone here that can help. Don't take JW's answers as fact, check everything out. One very good source of information on here is Ignat, also Mouthy. Please don't make the mistake many make and rush into this for your boyfriend. If he truly cares for you he will be happy to wait until you are 100% sure it is right for you.
Take care Sweetie, we look forward to hearing more from you.

Its great not to feel guilty about relaxing at the weekend after a long week at work. However the JW guilty conscience is not so easy to get rid of.... the mind control goes deep. Yesterday I bumped into a former friend who is still a JW, she smiled at me and said Hello! I shunned her! my conscience telling me that she shouldn't have spoken to me! Why should I care! Truth is I don't but my instincts don't listen!
Has anything like this happened to anyone else?
