I beleive "TO LET" means "TO RENT", so if it has been leted it must mean that it has been rented.

For someone to undertake a task like the one you do, by taking apart the WT study article just for one week is a great undertaking!

But to do it week after week...it's amazing. I no longer read the study article from the magazine (for at least 4 months now), but look forward to your posting every weak.

GREAT JOB. A wealth of information that I probably would not have thought to question on my own. MANY MANY THANKS!!!!!!!

so what is your take on this.. we know for sure how crooked the wts is.. how do we feel about the bible?

do you still refer to it, quote from it, accept its teachings etc....???.

the fact that they are coming out with new magazines and new books all the time, can only mean that they haven't found the truth yet.. if they had the truth, they'd be satisfied with their old publications.

a more complete example of a wrong religious road or overwhelming delusion than what is found in the writings of the watchtower bible and tract society would be difficult to find.

if each jehovah's witness would follow their own guidance and conscience, many more than already have would stream out of the suffocating grip of this man-centered organization and into true liberty.. matt 24:11-12 many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.

One of the ancient philosophers once said (and I am paraphrasing)

"Religion believes all. Philosophy doubts all"

I have been tricked too long by the WTS because I hung around with the crowd of the first part of the above statement.

NO MORE!!

I now have adopted the second part of that statement. I doubt everything until I can be convinced otherwise.

Those are interesting numbers you posted.

If I may, I would like to add that of that 4% that actually get baptized as a result of the Bible study, a significant number is made up of children being "bible studied" by their parents. What part of that 4% i don't know. If anybody has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

So in reality, less than 4% are actually coming "in to the truth" as a result of the preaching work. The number of hours required to convert one individual is even greater.

Just a thought!!!

Leolaia and/or Narkissos, "pseudochristos" = "false anointed"?

i want to make sure i am understanding this correctly.

in the places where jesus is recorded as saying "false christs" would come in his name, is it correct to state that pseudochristos/pseudochristoi literally means "false anointed ones"?.

it didn't make any sense for them to (1) claim to be christ and also (2) claim to know where christ is.. my studies led me to believe that there is no reason (besides tradition) for capitalizing the "c" in translating "christos" in these instances, particularly since the plural form is used.

As far as the greek translation of the word "pseudochristos" is concerned it is a compound word, made of "pseudo" = false and "christos"= annointed.

When the "c" in christos is capitalized it refers to the annointed Jesus.
