I am not worried about them kicking me out because my name is on the deed. So, they can't. They wouldn't do that anyway. Who would help them pay bills? The elders? My mother did say something to the ringleader elder who has made this his personal crusade these days in the effect of how my Dad has heart problems and it might be best for him not to ask my Dad anything about me. I really, in a way, just don't care.I do care about my Dad though. This congregation has had many long time members leave and go to other neighboring congregations in the last few years. And a lot have also joined the local Spanish congregation, not knowing any Spanish at first. They used to have attendance up around 150 on Sunday's. Now it's like around 60 my Mom has said.
I have a cousin that they DF'd twice. Once for not making her children get ready to go to the meetings. It was a control thing. Her husband would always run to the elders to threaten her. She got reinstated again, but is now DF'd a third time because she left her loser husband, and they say abandoned her children. One wanted to stay with the Dad, one went with, and the third left them all and went to live with her Grandmother. I went into that story because that's how the elders are here locally. I know it isn't going to matter what I say to them because I will be DF'd. It just stresses me because of my Mom and Dad. They only go on Sunday's and get the phone hookup for the other meetings. So I feel like this would kinda isolate them more. Stupid control freak JW's.

When I was "late" back in January, I knew I was pregnant because my periods had been pretty normal for the last year. I bought 4 tests though, anyway because I thought my body might be slipping back into being unpredictable. A lot of pregnancy tests come in 2 packs now. The cheaper wal-mart brand was the only one that was right. The fancy expensive EPT tests were wrong. They had a digital display that said Not Pregnant after I used them. I was/am pregnant. 6 weeks to go.

I live here with my elderly parents. My Dad is in his seventies and my Mom is in her sixties. I don't really in a way consider them elderly, but I guess others perceive them that way. They wouldn't be able to make it alone without me living here with them.
Anyway, when I got home from work today, I had a letter in with my other mail. It had a return address, but no name indicating who it came from. It was a registered letter. My Mom said my Dad signed for it. I knew when I saw it was a registered letter what it was going to be about. A JC meeting. I have been "inactive" since 1996. No elders have come to talk to me or have called in all that time. The only reason they now feel a need to do this is because I am pregnant, and single. No one where I work knows I was JW. Not one of my friends are JW's. Just because I made the mistake of getting baptized when I was a teenager is this happening.
They had tried to "contact" me the letter says, but I have ignored them. Actually, I did talk to the elder who called the first time and when he asked if I would meet with "him," I had said yes. Then he said, "Ok, WE WILL see you Sunday. I was like, "Huh?" Thought you said YOU, wanted to talk to me. I told them to just do whatever it is they that had to do. Repeatedly. That was like 2 or 3 months ago. Then I guess they got too busy with the DC, and the CO's visit, that I was put on the backburner for awhile. My Dad actually told them, when they had approached them about talking to me, where they have been all this time and why it wasn't important to talk to me years ago but that it is now. It ticked me off when they upset him like that. He has heart problems. I respect my parent's beliefs, and they respect that I no longer go to meetings. It just makes me mad that now they want to do this because of "appearances." I am just wondering about DA'ing myself. I never did do it before because of my family ties and because I, personally, just thought it gave them "power." Like you still have to answer to them just because you changed your mind about something. Is DA'ing one's self worse to a JW then being DF'd? I know that my parents will still talk to me after either, so I am not worried about that.
I am not going to their meeting. It's the same day as my baby shower. I am just considering writing my own registered letter.

by chuckyy ina congregation here in the uk had so many cases of m.e (chronic fatigue) that it was labelled as the jehovahs witness disease.
i must say that in my old cong.

I was diagnosed with CF when I was 24. I think in reality I was just stressed and overly tired from all the overtime I was working at the time. Sometimes, even now I do get tired, for weeks. I just deal with it now by telling myself to snap out of it, or I'll just take a nap. I really think my diagnosis of this was a misdiagnosis.

I'd like to be in a Hard Day's Night. Not a Beatle, maybe a female Brian Epstein.
