so before i was appointed a ms, while in my late teens, i transformed myself into a much more "serious" brother.. were you ever told that you needed to work on something that you knew was stoopid?.
For noticing a wordly boy on a trip the farm. Mind you "he" noticed me and said hello at a bus stop, but I was counseled.
For reading too many "worldy books". For taking college level courses in high school. For taking the SATs.

There is more verifable evidence; evidence that just recently has been declassified, that there are alien life forms than there is information to sustain the claim of "angels" and "demons" and "god".
Where is heaven located? I can point up to the sky and show you where other planets are located.
Is it possible that the angels/demons are things we call them as humans because the true accounts were too much for a species that have been reared to think of themselves as a superior species? Here's a tidbit: we are not.
In the next 10 years it will become a truism that we will not be able to escape and our whole idea of religion, aliens/demons and gods will be totally turned on its head.
I don't have all the answers, but I am not afraid to face the hard questions...

I stand by my statement that the angels, demons and such are really alien life forms and we need to get with it.
All biblical references have been tampered with for hundreds of years. Keep that in mind when referring to things as historical fact.

there is so much talk among the witlesses about the "new" order.
they can't wait until it comes up, and they talk about how much they need it.
they think it is going to come about via god's eliminating wickedness, and that they will be happy there.. however, that is all a blatant lie.
The New Order, New World Order, and New Order of the Ages are terms with origins in Masonic and Occult traditions. Russell borrowed from some of these sources, and perhaps had association with them.
There is a measure of irony when you consider that the New Order is one of the goals of the United Nations. There is an organization called the Lucis Trust (formerly Lucifer Trust) that has a close association with the UN and was formed upon the teachings of Helena Blavatsky and Alice Baily. These women got their knowledge from channeling invisible spirit beings and writing down the results of these channeling sessions.
It could cause one to wonder about the Watchtower's claims of channeling angels and spirit beings to find out what God is telling them, since those spirits are also promoting the idea of a New Order.

When I started studying out of the JW and read all the research about the New World Order, and realized that the catch phrase New Order is second only to "the truth", I realized the complete brainwashing that JWs are being feed. Also interesting are the Russell lineage.

i know we have some very imaginative people, so let's pretend we are "god".
we see how much of an economic crisis we are in, how politics is making people fight from all sides, so many religions and they are all fighting against each other, in fact, every difference can be a breaking point for division.
create a world that is functional, realistic and economically sound.. it can be as short or long as you want, but i think it would be a good place to come up with some ideas and possibly create a reality that even in our own lives, can make a difference..
I wonder in our perfect world, that we realize a different type of market is better suited for all.
I do agree with the idea of money and possessions not being the sole factor of wealth and success, however that brings up another questions.
Are those that want and/or promote a more balanced and universal country actually Socialists?
Does anyone actually believe we live in a democracy now, with 1% controlling the wealth, with things like welfare and such to give people a meager existence, but nothing more? What about things like the electoral college, who will actually elect the president and not the popular vote?
I am quite interested in our ideas of a better or perfect world because I think as we progress as humans, we realize that this "freedom" we live in the illusion of, is not actually freedom at all.

hello everyone i'm writing this because i am taking a break from here for awhile.
one reason is i do not feel welcomed.
everyone else just clicks with everyone else and i feel out of place.
One true, I do understand, when I first joined I read for a while, I don't think I ever posted anything. I was motivated to start posting after a beloved member of my family passed away who was a JW and I was confronted with issues I hadn't really thought in a long time.
Isn't life like Pluto says, "All life is flux, nothing stays the same."
Maybe right now you needed to plant seeds and when it is right to come back, you will. It's just a forum, it's not your entire world. I am sure you will come back, as I have, and you will flow in and out, like a lot of people do, I wish you the very best.

That's pretty cool that you have some experience with animal behavior -- and also that you can relate to my comments. Some peoples' eyes just glaze over when I bring up geology.
I don't know for sure, but if I remember correctly, I believe John Lennon was an atheist. And, speaking of that have you ever looked into CFI (Center For Inquiry) or any of the other secular humanist organizations? The secular humanists talk about this kind of stuff all the time. I belong to the local chaper of CFI.

I have never looked into the CFI, and briefly read over some of the philosophies on humanist organizations, but not anything I could actually comment on. It sounds pretty interesting, I will have to look into it.

we lack the experience and wisdom to harness the power. We are a species that is out of control on the planet. I wax and wane between optimism and utter dispair about what is to become of the human race. One thing is certain, if we don't get our act together, mother nature is going to deal with us and won't be pretty.I think the hope lies in the fact that we are able to "Imagine" -- perhaps we can "will" our species to develop a moral compass that will exalt our "human" qualities above the animal qualities that seem to predominate.
Sorry, if I took a bit of a negative turn on cheery post. It is important to keep the hope alive that we can do better. Thanks for starting this thread.

Oh I definitely agree, it's not negative its reality, look at how divided and utterly incapable of moving forward as a species we are. I look around everyday in such sheer wonder and at the same time great sadness over what I see to be the incapability to rise to a higher level of awareness. I totally believe in the end Mothern Nature will trump us all.
I think the animal kingdom is amazing, wonderful and a great way for us to learn about the gift of life we have. Sometimes I simply go to the zoo or to an aquarium and watch. I did some graduate work on applied behavioral psychology and worked with the animal kingdom at various stages, amazing... I admire what you are doing, I am sure it is incredibly rewarding. :-)
By the way, do you think Lennon was atheist?
