i dont start many topics,but i have just split up with my longterm and wonderful girlfriend.i have never experienced such a black,deathlike feeling in my entire 35 years on this planet.i guess that is normal.. i cant see beyond this evening.i cant imagine loving again..ever.sorry for the drama(its really not like me),but i am at the end of my tether.. no-one could ever replace that wonderful,caring,generous sweet natured girl.. devastated and in need of any advice.. Why did the WTBTS not sue Ray Franz?

if ray franz had been lying in anything he said in both of his books, c of c and in search of christian freedom, surely the wtbts would have sued him.

why did they take no legal action against him?.

could it be that this legalistic corportion realised he had lied about nothing?

If you mean because is was a shit movie yes it is comparable to the JW media standards, symbolically comparisons could be drawn.

i was in downtown annapolis today and went into a british/irish store that sells goods imported from the uk.

i saw a bottle of marmite and decided to try it.

i bought the bottle, and when i got home i tried it.

On a macro level, the Witnesses are pretty harmless

warning: this post may be damaging to your biases.. it seems to me that the "danger" the witnesses pose to larger society is, well, pretty damn small.

just think about it: the witnesses are almost not involved in politics at all, except the occassional "freedom of religion and speech" issues they take to various courts, issues i am happy to support the witnesses in, even if i strongly disagree with their beliefs.

you will not see jws supporting banning abortions or gay marriages or a whole host of other civil liberties and freedoms that evangelicals rally around like the village people searching for frankenstein's monster.

ithinkisee - If you want another perspective on parenting and the impact on how we turn out read "They F@#k You Up" by Oliver James it doesn't try to blame parents but some of his ideas had a profound effect on me.

On topic though any amount of abuse in all its forms has anything but a 'macro' effect on the world.

hey my dad is going to trade my gmc 2004 single cab black truck for a new ford mustang but i dont really want that because it will be expensive.

if i had it my way i wouldve bought the 1991 honda crx this chick at work was selling for 800 bucks.

so instead of the mustang i want to trade in for a new or used honda civic.
