You all amaze me, I wasn't even baptised yet it still took me a while (they tried indoctrinating me for about seven years) to get all that stuff out of my head. I had so much fun at easter this year - I bought chocolate eggs for everyone at work! hehehe. Don't be hard on yourselves, you got out and are living your life!! It's great!!!!

Ever realize you're forgetting and like it?
by Mysterious init just struck me today how much jw behavior i have forgotten as opposed to the parts that are irritatingly hard to stamp out.
i realized how often i toast, buy meat without checking the label, swear when i drop something, research anything i want on the internet, go to metal concerts, etc.
i think sometimes we don't think of how far we have come but only dwell on how far we have to go and we shouldn't.

Will I still have a family?
by Del injust like some advice, be it good or bad.
my immediate family (father, mother and sister) are all jws.
i managed to resist and have been living as a 'baaaaaad' person for years now.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated :) Although, it still seems they're distancing themselves further from me...oz well, all I can do is let them know my door is always open no matter the circumstances and if my prayers are ever answered that they see the 'light' and get out of the org (makes me think of 'borgs'!) I will be there for them... Yes Sass_my_frass, I get what you say "As much as you can call them family, right?" ...even though I've never been baptised and therefore never dissassociated or d'fd I'm still treated as an outsider...I take it you have similar experience? (excuse my ignorance of your circumstances) Thanks again all, you're an inspiration.

Hi everyone Just like some advice, be it good or bad. My immediate family (father, mother and sister) are all JWs. I managed to resist and have been living as a 'baaaaaad' person for years now. However, they have always talked to me and spent some time with me. Now I'm going through a separation and will be divorced in a few months. My question is, once I'm divorced, will the WTs expect them to not associate with me anymore? Thanks :)

Great Experiences- I was serfing the net ad came across APOSTATES
by You People Are All Idiots inwow, yeah i was looking fr the theocratic ministry school oral review questions and i came across an apostate site!
the site was www.jehovahs-witness.com and was just fill of retarded apostates!
they were not only using a domain name and header name that denotes a conection with the actual watchtower society, but where using it to blasphem the jehovah's true organization in order to help people break away.

What did you hear to get that fear? (No.1)
by A Paduan ini thought i might start a series of presentations to assist critical thinking and the dispelling of fearful conceptions about biblical text.
i have no particular order of study, just random as i think of it.
important to this examination of fearful assumptions is the input of your views, and/or the official jw thought on the topic particulars - anyway, here goes

hahaha! Now I get it...much clearer without the wine! 1. = 2 score 2. = 1 score 3. = 2 score so five all up :)) Fear of getting a thumping made me go to meetings - not the fear of god.

"The Truth" about Higher Education
by Ozner ini am a longtime witness (35 years), born "in the truth" and raised up in the 70's.
higher education.
at that time, i agreed with it.

Yep, I agree it's easier to control idiots than well-educated people...so why would someone, say a family member of mine, who is intelligent, analytical, had a high powered job and after retiring was offered various CEO of medium sized company positions yet turned them down to become a dub! IQ wise, above average...I can only think that the borg was a replacement for his previous high-powered job...in the borg he got respect, power (became an elder in record time), it's run with strict rules etc...I just can't come up with an explanation.

Ummm...I'm a bit slow (could be the three glasses of wine I suppose)...if I chose the third one, second point: the place on which you are standing is holy ground; you don't need to come here to be standing on holy ground - where you're standing is holy - so relax, you don't need walk any further to be in a holy place. What is that score wise?
