Latest "Topic for Conversation"
by JWdaughter ini think that in the kingdom service papers each month they had a 'topic for conversation' which was the subject that they used to start their 'preaching' with.
does anyone have the recent kingdom service's so that i could know what the topics were for the last few months?
i am curious to know.

A chilling 9/11 blog:
by SixofNine inthought i'd share this.
warning, it's not an easy read.
also, if you buy this guy's book (about his time as a marine in afghanistan and iraq), you won't be sorry.

If the world's population were reduced to 100, it would look something like
by What-A-Coincidence inhttp://www.miniature-earth.com/.
the idea of reducing the world?s population to a community of only 100 people is very useful and important.
it makes us easily understand the differences in the world.. there are many types of reports that use the earth?s population reduced to 100 people, especially in the internet.

I loved this site, and already wrote of my reaction. Here is a typical reaction by a JW (ok, a typical reaction by my mom.:
I did look at it. The statistics really point out the lopsidededness in the world. I have read that the US has 4 % of the world population and 40%of the wealth. It is so unfair. BUT, I know that it will soon be rectified. love, Mom
It sure will, and millions living back in the early 20th century will NEVER die. Yeah yeah. I loathe the organization for one thing(particularly). My mother is miserable and only holding on in wretched hope that Jehovah will soon destroy everything she sees and fix it. This, rather than doing anything positive HERSELF, or expecting anything positive from her religion. I don't want her to curl up and die(which I am sure to her is the only other viable solution to ending the misery of this life)I wish she would make some real, positive changes to be happy and productive and hopeful. When your only "hope" is that God will destroy the world. . .well is it any wonder that they drink?

Mystery Flowers
by Good Girl or Bad Girl? ini received a beautiful bouquet of tulips back in february after my breakdown that ended up being the gateway to my wts escape.
the tulips were left outside my apartment door.
i tried, in vain, to find out who gave them to me.

If a couple of men invited a little girl in and gave her candy. . .I wouldn't assume they were gay or hetero or pedophiles, but I would worry for the child AND question their(adults) judgement, but mostly the judgement of the adult who sent a child out to strangers homes and allowed them to go inside! WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE THINKING???? Any of those adults are stupid, either for being vulnerable to accusation, suspicion or ??? or for endangering a child(criminally IMO).

Strange Habits You Realised You Have
by Stephanus ini recently realised i have a strange habit that's been noticed by others: i look in people's fridges when i'm over at their house.
it's just a reflex action, and i only recently became aware of it.. what strange habits have you discovered that you didn't realise you had?.

I feel compelled to straighten out the magazine racks at stores. My son recently notified me that the other mothers in the store don't do that. He is six. Glad he's paying attention. Remind me to never do anything truly embarrassing in front of him as he announced it to the cashier.
