Great Grandmother (1890ish) Grandmother (1920ish), mom (1940ish), me (1960ish), son (1980ish)granddaughter (2010ish). That's 6 for my family since 1914. I never knew my great and my grand died when I was 2. So, our generations never truly met.

January is his birthday. You think he will make note of the day? I wish things were different, but I know that medical care is a very personal thing and it is his right to die over this ridiculous issue while he is probably eating meat that isn't kosher or halal. THAT is what angers me about the WT teaching. It is so very hypocritical.
Any former JWs DFd for eating meat that wasn't bled properly? I bet there is not one. ANYWHERE.

by jeremiah18:5-10 inhypothetically speaking, if you are dfd and witnesses call at your home and you give a warm reception and in the course of discussion tell them you had just been praying to jehovah to help you get back on track with him, would they go full force at helping you get back in, even fast tracking it?.
as with many who are dfd with family still in, at time i entertain the notion of returning just to get my family back.. so what do you think about this scenario, would it help or hurt?.
i ask because of how enamored they are with the idea that angels guide their efforts in service and lead them to the sheep.

i'm looking forward to doing lots of things we couldn't do, we may have to secretly do them since we still have family in wt.

So far, all you know for sure is that you still have a libido. Good start. You need to "fade" out that woman from your life-not in a way to piss her off. Then cool off, start thinking with the big head.
If you value your wife and marriage, please tell her that you have come to realize that a sexless marriage is not a good idea for you. You have not and will not cheat on her, but you are going to need some counseling to find a way for you both to be happy and satisfied in your 'marital' relationship or you will not be a good partner. You don't want anger, resentment and lustful thoughts of willing women to dominate your days-its too easy to get in trouble in this "time of the end" so you need to protect your marriage relationship like it is precious to you (as it should be!)
Lose the sexting lady however you can without losing it all or you will regret it. She is not the option you want. Seriously, you know it. She is just a tempation that will at best be a fling that ruins your marriage. Really, you deserve better and so does your wife. Not sure about the chick who's messing with you.
You know how likely this is to come out to some extent already, so don't give anyone any more ammo. You know they will use it.

Giving birth to my 3 children was not the first immoral things that I have done and won't be the last, then. However, it will be the immoral act that brought me reward, joy and beauty. It is the immoral act that will hopefully make the world a better place. It is the immoral act that resulted in 3 beautiful human beings that have value to many people around them. If all the immoral things that I did resulted in so many positive things, then I would be immoral all day long.

My mom was in a grand jury for about 2 years! (It got extended twice, I think) BTW, she enjoyed the perks, too-2x a month spending two nites in a lux hotel in the city with a pier diem. Sweet. She also took her role very seriously. No one told her she couldn't/shouldn't be on it. OTOH, I remember she did ask at the beginning and was told it was up to her conscience. She went with it and got no further grief about it.
I'm proud she did it and I respect that she did it. GO MOM!!

I just happened to read that and it saddened me. I have lived in Africa-even relatively (and I MEAN relatively) well off Egypt does not take any kind of transportation for granted (and they have regular affordable bus/van/taxi services in Cairo Metro). To eat in Africa is not as cheap as some would think and most kids who get "free" secular education basically get NO education. There are no social services to speak of other than family (which does as much as it can). That bike that he sold? And gave a big chunk as a donation??? HOW STUPID IS THAT??? You are leaving your subsistance family alone for two months to work construction and instead of giving them even a tiny little bit of security, you donate it to an organization that has BILLIONS of dollars? Why are not the profits of KH buildings taht are sold being used to help at least the people in Africa? Jeez, those people are so cold to the ones they claim as their own. That just pisses me off to no end cause I know what construction is like over there. It is dangerous. There are few hardhats, no OSHA rules (or even standards) and construction is notoriously a risky field. In any case, even if he was leaving for two months to sit at a desk, to leave his family with only enough to survive his PLANNED absence is just insane.
Who writes that crap? If it was true to ANY extent, I want to rescue his family from his stupidity. Otherwise I want to smack the writer for not even coming up with a story that a reasonable person could admire or respect.

it does not say whether this was published by the watchtower or independently, so please let me know if you have any further information about it.
in typical offensive fashion, the yearbook blames the members rather than themselves for the false expectations held for 1914.. some bible students even carried a countdown card so that they could mark off each passing day.

It surprises me that they admit it. That they did it comes as no surprise to a woman who grew up in a congregation that, after 1975 were so desperate to find a new pull date that they speculated about how significant it was that the doomsday clock moved forward a few minutes. I think there was a lot of movement early 80's.
And, I bet the little chart was provided in one of the WT publications.
