Discussing the RC with a friend and my JW wife was listening.
by Driving Force ini am fuming at the moment and my wife has made me so angry.. i live in germany and an ex jw, a friend of mine is also ex jw but does not understand english so i was giving him a rundown on the friday session of the rc with gj.
my wife was in another part of the house but heard my phone ring and so she came to listen, i did not realize this, because when the phone rang i closed two doors between myself and my wife.
she opened the first door and started listening to the conversation.

I'm sorry for what you and daughter are going through. I've played nice for too many years and have become so walked over that I should tattoo welcome on my forehead. I'm done. Don't let her continue to abuse you and daughter over this. I encourage going forward to end things. Not sure of your congregational status, but clarifying your ideas with elders might put a fire under wife to initiate a divorce. She seems rather unhinged. Let her believe it's all her idea unless you are trying to hold it together until daughter reaches majority. -

Do JWs besides my mom even say that anymore? -

WARNING: SEXUAL PREDATOR ON THE LOOSE IN NEW MEXICO!

I think if you go to the police and tell them what you know and how you know it and who(elders and the org) has more information, then you have done your duty.
If you know where he is now, you could go to the elders, state what you know and ask them how they are protecting the children in light of the WTs enlightened response to protecting children these days.
If you want to cause problems, go to old congregations (do the elder confrontation as appropriate) and nose around and if you know of victims (after the WTs first knowlege of him), then encourage them to go to police at minimum. Seeking redress in criminal courts and civil (whether against the perp, the elders or the org, I don't know, that's for an attorney to determine).
If you have a heart for those victims then you can speak up for them until they can, but I think a police report of what you have heard (if it is reliable) along with the fact that you KNOW of others who would have heard the accusations (elders) might be effective. Its not just about the victims he has already harmed, its about protecting the children he has not yet had a chance to harm.

There are female Muslim pilots from Arabia bombing ISIS. Just had to mention it. You'd think Jackson was 153 years old from some of his statements. Sounded like a backwards mullah. I wonder if he allows his wife to drive? -

A lot more for the first half. Couldn't get on for 15 min. Second half, it worked just fine from the onset. -

Did you hear Stewart use the bible to prove an incredibly good point to Jackson!!
by umbertoecho ini thought at the end, stewart made brilliant use of scripture (about establishing fornication or other sexually immoral practises) how, in such a clever way stewart used scripture to point out that some one could basically stake out someone's house to see if a person stayed over night be they homosexual or heterosexual............that on the basis of a sort of stakeout, the two witness rule was ambivalent yet it prevailed.
due to sufficient suspicion.. and therefore why did this "suspicion" not prevail with child sexual abuse.

I think the point is that the whole stupid JC should NOT happen in cases of child abuse. It should be immediately turned over to the police. Let professionals, trained ones, deal with crimes against children. NOT a bunch of untrained yahoos who are in an old boys club with all the other guys in the congregation, especially elders and MS's and pioneers. Anyone really active in the congregation is going to have more access and more buddies to stick up for him. I LOATHE that. -

GB member Geoffrey Jackson is lying!
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inokay, i know the royal commission hasn't started yet.
but i'm confident enough that he will be telling some whoppers.
so i thought i'd be the first to get a thread started for something that will begin... very soon now!.

Irritating and out of context use of scripture is starting to annoy me. The way he is saying the PAGE NUMBER, assuming that Stewart cannot find it. PISSING ME OFF royally. -

now he is implying that JWs are so much more close than normal church members(somehow deciding that unilaterally). . . and yet will suggest that all the chumminess (incestuousness) of the entire congregation - particularly the brothers- is totally imagined by apostates and/or victims. -

LIAR, they do SO judge victims!!! I was raped and at the age of 13 subjected to a JC. They were NOT there to support me, but to interrogate me as to if I really WAS a victim. (No other JW involved, even!)
