The man who can't even show up on time is a more worthy leader than the woman who is already conducting the meeting? Really?

was life that bad for you?
we are really sorry...
My life wasn't so bad. Thank God my dad wasn't a JW and lent some balance to my life. Mom is a true beleiver. Birthdays and Christmas ended (she took awhile to commit, but my whole life was spent mired in it) when I was 8 or so. I had regular nightmares and daymares about persecution. Fortunately, while there were a few asses in the cong, most of the folks were good hearted and well meaning. My parents loved each other and our relatives put up with my mom's weird religious inclinations pretty graciously. School was hard-being different and feeling obligated to underline it (my own worst enemy at times, trying to PROVE (to myself) that I had the truth. Then when I realized it wasn't the truth, I felt obligated (by the teachings drummed into me my whole life about being in the truth) to say what I really thought. Placed me in an awkward position at 15.
Yeah, I did see the whole 1975 thing and NO, it wasn't a made up drama by mad ex-JWs. I was there.

8you must not make for yourself a carved image+ or a form* like anything that is in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth.-deuteronomy 5:8. .
18 you are to make two cherubs of gold; you will make them of hammered work on the two ends of the cover.+ 19 make the cherubs on the two ends, one cherub on each end of the cover.
20 the cherubs are to spread out their two wings upward, overshadowing the cover with their wings,+ and they will face each other.
great report by abc on the abuses in jw-dot-org land.... i hope it opens a "floodgate" of future news reports and exposes.
if you ask yourself, "why hasn't the watchtower leadership changed their policy on the 2 witness rule?
if one or more persons on the gb has victims out there that can't come forward because of the 2 witness rule, then that would explain the permanent road block to policy change that is obviously in place.
this is a must watch video.
it brought tears of laughter!.

A family man choosing to turn down a job that will be overly demanding is not a tragedy. His family already has to compete with the Borg and a normal job. He can change his mind when he sees TTATT if he wants a promotion.
The young woman choosing to pioneer when she is intelligent and young seems more of a tragedy. She is never going to have the choice to make between a demanding JOB and family, she will be forsaking both family and job to serve the WTBTS. She likely rejected the idea of college as soon as she knew it was an option-when she was about 8 or 9. She will never get that promotion even offered to her, not even a decent job.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/jun/23/prince-islamic-countries-fun.
i was a loving tyrant' ... prince.
in an exclusive interview with the guardian's film&music, prince said: "it's fun being in islamic countries, to know there's only one religion.
Only one country I know of that requires women to cover. And they don't require burkas or chadri's, actually. They just require a woman to be covered from neck to feet. I've been to Mecca (Saudi Arabia) and I didn't wear a burka, just a loose-ish long sleeve shirt and long skirt. My waist, (ah, when I had one!) was evident. I covered my hair with a simple scarf. I was not harrassed in any way.
Some areas have customs requiring it, and in places where extremists are in control (terrorists) it is required for safety, but I am not aware of anywhere where a 'burka" is required by any official law. To say that it is required by custom is sometimes true-but there is usually a bigger explanation than simplistic comments such as Princes' .
BTW, it is just as much "required" by custom that men wear long tunics or gowns, even (kameez or thobes) to protect THEIR modesty. Folks usually miss that when they start going off on women's customary clothing. When a man wears western clothes, they go down a few notches in respect among many Muslims. Some try, like their wives, to reach a compromise acceptable to modesty and the western standards for business wear.
Prince's clothes would be considered pretty raunchy in that part of the world.
not sure what category to put this in.
just read that prince (rogers, the jw) is doing a "christian" song.. https://celebrity.yahoo.com/news/prince-debuts-cover-christian-rock-211000432.html.

So, from the peanut gallery, what do you all make of this?
i was at a criminal trial all day in murfreesboro, tn, involving the notorious jw who i call "mommy molester," angela montgomery.
this is the reason i didn't know until this evening that the nightline program with the segment on jws was changed until tomorrow night.
(i forgot my phone.
Kendrick was convicted in the courts of other crimes. He was never convicted of Conti and know he won't be prosecuted. Therefore, for him to repeatedly state he is innocent of this keeps him in good standing with the WT and may tend to influence people's perceptions of the WT's roles in this. However, it should not. Regardless of Conti, what the WT has done and continually does is reprehensible as regards child abuse-sexual or otherwise. They have a clear pattern of aiding and abetting molesters and other abusers in continuing their crimes unabated.
At this point, Kendrick is entirely lacking in credibility, and the WT is also. I think that Conti or not, they need to be held accountable for their just not giving a damn when they have every legal, moral, ethical and spiritual reason TO give a damn.
i think we've all noticed a ton of newbe's these past months.
one part of escaping or thinking about escaping the jw's is coming to terms with what you believe now and/or what direction you are leaning towards.. here is a site that has a quick quiz that may be of some worth or just for fun.
i took it when i first signed on here and the results surprised me because it was pretty accurate.. you don't have to sign up for anything and when you finish you will get a percentage answer on 20 major belief systems.
