it's good to see them turning things around and keeping apple honest.. the holo-lens looks fantastic - much better than full vr headsets by providing augmented reality instead (imagine 3d minecraft projected on a table or aliens running round your living room to shoot at).. more practical though is the update to the surface tablet and the surprise release, the surface book laptop / tablet.

yeah, it's confusing - one is a tablet that becomes a laptop and the other is a laptop that becomes a tablet.. i promised our eldest a laptop for his high-school graduation and to use now he's starting university and took him to the apple store a few months ago but the macbooks i was leaning towards weren't available at the time.

I do product testing(user experience) for MS sometimes and have been excited to see the improvements to Surface. Best thing, they listen to every dumb, side, hmmm kind of comment. Every thought as you are using it and how it could be better. They are awesomely curious about how to make things better. Write and tell them every thought you have on it. They are paying attention.

today at work i had an interesting set of co workers.

one was telling us about her side job selling sex toys(also a l&d nurse).

the other one, very beautiful, intelligent woman told us of her 2 kids.

Today at work I had an interesting set of co workers. One was telling us about her side job selling sex toys(also a l&d nurse). The other one, very beautiful, intelligent woman told us of her 2 kids. Nothing explicitly said, she is from Jamaica originally and I thought she was JW. Just oozed it somehow. Husbands were brought up and she made a sidebar, dismissive remark about her husband being a (wait for it!) Window washer. I knew then that I was talking to a JW. I asked her how she met him. She was touring bethel, in NYC, and it was love at first sight. Long distance romance while she got her nursing training, then she moved here with him and his family.

How is it that I have J-Dar so interestingly accurate? Do any of you notice this phenomenon in your life?

i have a confession to make.

a strange urge is building in my brain... each time i see a jw literature cart on the street it builds.

it is becoming a stronger and stronger thought in my mind.

Just take lots of literature(to the recycle center). Public service, keeping it out of t h e hands of unsuspecting innocents.

Adjusting

just feel like i could never make it on the outside world.

i was never able to adjust, except in being a mom and in business.

those are the only things that i feel strong in.

You ARE making it. It's not easy, and you are struggling because it is challenging! Everyday you are doing it and every day that you finish s a win. The only real 'finish line' is death. Every day until then is going to be filled with challenge and joy and work and rest. Success and failures. Sadness sometimes and sometimes the joy will surround you until you can barely catch your breath. Find a balance and ask for help if you feel overwhelmed. Even if help is paid or from a church or agency or doctor.

Now you have a lot of burdens to sort out. Trust me, they will get sorted!

JW Sister: raped, pregnant what does she do?, abortion or adoption?

this question came out frequently from a situation known to some of us who knew of 2 cases.... if a single or married sister gets rapped by stranger or incest, a pregnancy results, she is not allowed to have an abortion but neither is she allowed to give it up for adoption?...i always question why not up for adoption?...

no you will be blood guilty because the child won't be raised in the "truth"... hmmmmm does anyone heard of that?

is it a matter of consciousness?

I never heard of objections to adoption. The abortion would be no option of course

i was recently writing to someone on the fractal future forum.

he came across as a very intelligent person, but i noticed that a post of his about medicine showed that he seemed to lack a lot of knowledge about medical testing and the scientific method.

so, i asked him some questions, and his reply seemed to contain a logical fallacy in every sentence, concluding with a quote from mercola.com, one of those really dodgy conspiracy theory / anti-science type of sites.

My mom, longtime JWs, is a big fan of garage sales. An elders wife had them 4x a year. Now my aunt was convinced of demons etc, but I think that JW wackiness is not universal

How Jehovah's Witnesses could become a huge mainstream religion without harming people. Any thoughts?

if jws did the following, i believe they would grow exponentially and become one of the largest 'religions' on earth : .

1. no more dfing or shunning......its up to your conscience who you like or don't like.

in the same way if i was catholic living in ireland, i wouldn't hang out with my neighbor if she was a drunk fornicator, just had an abortion, had a taliban boyfriend and also supported liverpool soccer club.

They never really wanted to be a religion and have never prided themselves on being Christian. They want number$, not to be Mr Rogers and pope Francis all wrapped up in rainbows and church suppers. They want money without pesky humanity mucking up the works with any kind of needs, whether emotional, spiritual, financial, physical or social. The entire set up now lets you know that!
