This was my first site but I couldn't handle the 'energy' at first. So then I went to the lambsroar for a while until I could take this site.

Oh myyyy ... !!!
My heart goes out to you. I am not one to really give advice. And I am definitly not one to judge. I wish you peace and happiness and a resolution to this problem that will allow everyone involved to be fulfilled.
The only thing I feel sure of is you have a higher responsibility to those kids then you do to any adult until those kids are able to stand on their own two feet. Take that for whatever it may mean to you personally. They did not ask to be born or raised in a house full of hypocrisy that could damage their chances to have a beautiful childhood.
much luv!!

Deepak Chopra. What happens after we die?
by Blueblades ini just finished reading,"life after death the burden of prove" author deepak chopa.
what happens after we die?
is this one question we were not meant to answer, a riddle that the universe keeps to itself?.

I like your ponderings Blueblades. Its fun to me to ponder the possibilities now that we are free to think and believe as we so choose. Good for you.
GBL ~ Of course there is no proof. ... duh ... tehehee ... It's the possibilities that is enjoyable to explore.
Perhaps the proof will come when it happens (death that is). And then at that point each will see for oneself or not see anything at all.

I just wanted to say WELCOME and THANK YOU for the courage and stomache of steel to do this meeting and recording.
I understand people who are a bit appalled. I am the biggest live and let live person I know. But when it comes to stuff like this ... I say "U Go Boy!". Yes elders are just doing what they believe and carrying out what they have been told. But so what ... it doesn't mean that what and how they do it should not be openly seen to everyone. What they do and how they carry it out REALLY HURTS PEOPLE TO THE CORE OF THEIR VERY EXISTANCE! Yes it is based on a belief and I honor the right for everyone to make their own decisions regarding beliefs but if you can give them more information to make an informed decision (like through things such as these types of recordings) then more power to you.
I am not one to condemn or convert but I do try to love. And I can truly see how things like this can help people to not join and maybe even to 2nd think staying in.
If all involved in this religion heard/saw openly everything that went on in it I am sure there would be significantly less members. There are many who signed up for JWs who still don't know about this way of treating people (not to even mention the born ins).
Good for you. I hope this has given you a little of your power back. I hope that you can go on with life and live it to the fullest. I wish you well!!!

Judical Committee/ Plea for Reinstatement help
by livingalie inhello to all it has been awhile since my last post but i have been lurking .i just wanted to be careful since i have been trying to be reinstated.
to give you a little background in short after i left bethel (1993-1999) in 1999 i got married to a local sister from new york city ( brooklyn).i worked at different jobs but the last job i had was with the city of ny after 9/11 i lost the job .i told my wife about a job down south ,i told her that i would go down try the job out and if it looks like a good fit and it would work out she should move down in a few months .the job was going great things were looking up i told her to moved down but she hated the town said it was to small nothing to do but the great thing about it was that her job was in the town also all she would have to do was just transfer no job hunting at all .
my wife would not move this went on for the next 2 years she said she was coming down then she said she need to finish up something at work .

I agree with Emma and I have only been out for 3 years. The sad thing about it is not all congregations handle things the same. Some elders would say get back with your wife and some wouldn't hold that against you in your reinstatement. I am sorry you are going through this. Unfortunately if you choose to play their game (for understandable reasons) it seems like you have 2 choose:
1. Do the BS that they suggest regarding your wife. Which is dishonest because that is not what you feel. But maybe you can salvage some of those letters by mentioning in them that the elders are 'strongly suggesting that yall consider a reconciliation'. Maybe she will get the hint that it is not something you really want. And hey maybe you will be able to get full closer with that relationship during that time anyway ~ which can help you fully move on emotionally. At least you will be able to tell the elders that yall are communicating and trying to work it out.
2. Or wait until after the divorce is final and write another letter. Who knows how long that will take. But you can at least say to the elders that while yall were communicating that the divorce became final. But that if yall continue to be able to work it out you will remarry her. And they will want you to understand the remarry restrictions.
Good luck. Of course as someone who has freedom from the bOrg ... I would definitely suggest you make sure that all of this re-ga-ma-roar is worth the it. But if it is to you ... I wish you success.
