Farkel,
I like it!
i'm facing a bit of a dilemma and wondering how to deal with it.. my fade is as complete as i want to make it but i'm going on vacation and lifelong super jw friends are going to be where i am staying.. i'm wondering how some of you have dealt with this in the past.. do i simply and uncomfortably stay quiet about not attending, going to the meetings?.
do i just matter of fact state that "yeah, i just haven't been going for a while"?.
or do i play the sheepish, discouraged, distraught role?.

I guess if they know already it is better to suck it up and just say I'm inactive.
so my 13 year old daughter and i have been watching the news all day about haiti.
because i've been talking about it since it happened she is now asking questions.
so today we talked and i made sure she saw on tv the map of where haiti is and how difficult this is going to be and is for relief efforts due to it being on a island etc..........then i saw where you could safely text a ten dollar donation.
Text sent!
Thx,

Going all 'apostate' on them is not an option as I have too much respect for these people.
Any one have any experience with this and what worked/didn't?
Thanks,

from jw.org, here is the new definition of the generation from the april 15, 2010 watchtower.. .
article: holy spirits role in the outworking of jehovahs purpose.
13 third, holy spirit is at work in bringing bible.
'when it fails they will say that 'some of Jehovah's people have speculated that this could only last 2 generations...'
Exactly Isaacaustin. Great point and I believe premeditated on the part of the Society.

NICE!
recently i asked my wife: if our son one day comes home and says "well, i just joined new religion, we study a publication there, that iam not allowed to show anybody..." how would you feel?
does it sound like a cult?.
wife admitted: that would be scarry..... me: so why do jw have secret wt edition to study, that noone else is supposed to get?.
The point is that it IS available for anyone to read so thus not "secret".
Just like the Government has information on websites that aren't delivered to the masses.

The "secret" WT edition is now available online is it not?
End of conspiracy.
so as not to hijack other threads, i still can't understand why people keep referring to the new, "members only" watchtower as "secret?".
if you go to the meeting, you will get a copy.
if you have a family member, you can get a copy.
Agreed.
There are always conspiracy theorists everywhere.
