Watchtower logo on side of kingdom hall
by cyberdyne systems 101 inmy old kingdom hall has the watchtower logo built into the brick work on the side that faces the road - to me for a hall that is supposed to be dedicated to god, its a bit wrong to have a corporation logo on the side of it.
maybe its there to show they and not the congregation own it???

Do you think it's right?
by 5thGeneration inas much as you may be mad at the society, the brothers or family, do you think it is ethical to post their letters or e-mails?.
i kind of feel that these things were written with the intent of confidentiality and it is kind of unethical.
(please, no disrespect to those who don't agree).. any thoughts?.

No disrespect intended to you personally megsmomma.
My point was, for example (if you took the truth totally out of the equation) you e-mailed your stock broker a really dumb question and found out that he posted it on a huge online investment board and people started mocking you. I think you would have a legitimate beef!
But, at the same time, I understand the argument that no ones name is really being mentioned. So is it really intrusive?

Added: To me it would be like if you wrote a letter to your parents about how you felt about the truth and they took it to the Kingdom Hall and read it to the congregation.

Sacking of entire bodies of elders
by yaddayadda ini once heard about nearly an entire body of elders in a congregaton that got demoted/sacked from being elders because of some scandal in their congregation that they collectively covered up or didn't deal properly with.
i think it was about some relative of a dominant elder that should've got disfellowshipped but they all brushed it under the carpet.
the branch heard about it and sent a circuit overseer especially out to investigate it and he sacked nearly all of 'em and some new ministerial servant school graduates were quickly assigned to come in and take their place.

The Society banned the WT symbol from the brickwork and signs of Kingdom Halls about a decade ago.
