P.O. (Super JW) Dad is visiting. He asks me if I've met Brother M (who has been the PO since last Sept.). I said "of Course" although I haven't. Conversation ended there. But I am in deep trouble!

first of all i do not want to turn this into an american bashing thread, that is not my intention at all.. i would like to hear americans opinions as to what my thirteen year old son asked me tonight.. on the way back from swimming tonight my two sons (13 and 11) and myself started talking about wars.

my 11 year old was the first to bring it up talking about wwi & ww2.

we had an interesting conversation about it, then the subject got onto nuclear bombs.

McCain's was a stupid joke. (AND FINALLY) E. I know you will bash this as a cliche but you insult my military friends who all support Israel. Incidentally (although not directly related), just because of the person I can tell you are, I will tell you that they have also recently volunteered to go back to Iraq because of the response and appreciation they've seen from the Iraqi people. I know that makes your blood boil but, unfortunately, it's true!

I saw a conspiracy show on vacation that I'd never seen before and it basically blamed America for every single modern historical event. It was ridiculous and I was thinking; "There's gotta be something they think the US isn't responsible for?".

Maybe that's where 5go gets his info.

As a side note: Ironically, that's also why I argue with people who literally have 0% good to say about the WT.

Why does America contribute more money and food to international organizations than any other country, and is currently begging a country ruled by a military junta(Burma) to ACCEPT aid for it's people in a time of great distress? Yup...America MUST be evil.......

How do your kids feel about the Germans bombing the Spanish, Poles, French and Russians before the United States bombed anybody? Or the Japanese bombing the Chinese? Palestinian rockets being shot into Israel? Or for that matter, the British bombing the Germans? Only the historically ignorant think we're the only ones bombing people. Not attempt to justify anything, or bash other people. Just points to bring up if you actually want to talk to your kids about this.

I suppose the millions of Chinese that the Japanese slaughtered were because of America too. How about the 20 million that Stalin killed....or the 55,000,000 during WWII ...are we responsible for that as well?.....and you've got people on here whining about infrastructure? WTF
