Thanks guys. I was very impressed by the people at The Drum and also how thorough they were with fact checking.
I'm not convinced Jackson will turn up but certainly hope he does. I'd love to say hi.

Billy's comments to the RC #1 - "We always require at least two witnesses... except for when we don't."
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite ini'm still trying to catch up on the rc broadcast posted to youtube, and i haven't been able to keep up with everything discussed here about it.
however, there have been a few points that i wish i could submit.
repeatedly it has been stated that unless there is a confession, jcs can only act on testimony if it is corroborated by two or more witnesses to the wrongdoing.

Billy, that is a great point, and very relevant to the case. The RC has already established Watchtower twists scriptures to their own convenience and are looking for such examples that are particularly pertinent. -

Theocratic Warfare
by stuckinarut2 inno doubt we noticed the royal commission ask vin toole (and i think terry o'brien) about the expression "theocratic warfare"?.
they were asked to explain it and what is meant to witnesses.. vin outrightly lied when he said he "had never heard of that expression!".
i remember him using that term in conversations and talks many times!!

Thanks for the correction Splash.
Alive! - Toole said he was not aware of the term, because the quote they used was prior to his baptism. Even if he could not remember hearing of it, he would have understood what it meant and linked it to spiritual warfare. I don't know why they kept playing dumb when by then they knew Stewart was not going to be fooled, as he had done his research.

I have a collection of theocratic warfare and spiritual warfare quotes that relate to being dishonest now at jwfacts.com/watchtower/quotes/theocratic-warfare-lying.php -

Requested to have all the shepherding concerns in writing.
by quincemyles ini have not turned in a single field service report this year.
i decided not to, after noticing the simple flaw in the calculation of 1914. the implications are huge, i.e the appointment of the fds is a fraud.
i some days ago informed them of the private watchtower documents that are in my possession courtesy of the royal commission.

Really impressive. I like that you used Scriptural precedence for your request, as they look foolish refusing to follow Bible procedure. -

how the things are going with my sister
by opusdei1972 inthis morning i phoned my sister so as to know how the things are going with her problem with the congregation.
if i remember well, five weeks ago, my sister was asked by the elders (in the street) to attend a judicial meeting for apostasy.
my sister told them that she firstly needs a formal letter specifying who is accusing her.

They won't allow a lawyer. They will likely df her in her absence. -

Justice McClellan was annoyed by not being made aware of the authority of Jackson as a GB top dog. Material needed if any one here could ..
by umbertoecho inhello again.. splash had a pile of scriptural evidence which he uploaded and it was good material.
it established the gb as the fds and used watchtower study articles.........i don't know if he was the only one but the material flew in the face of what those men have been saying.
it proves, using their own material how they indeed think they are the ones with the direct control over millions of lives, because as you know.........they are the direct hot line to god.

There are two articles that will help them for quotes. jwfacts.com/watchtower/governing-body.php and jwfacts.com/watchtower/faithful-discreet-slave.php. These show that the GB structure is not supported by Scripture, and also the huge power that they hold over JWs.
Directed by holy spirit includes quotes that they claim supernatural guidance in formulating doctrine.

I am going to post a new page of quotes regarding this tonight. The statement that Theocratic Warfare includes lying appeared in the 1950's, and not since. However, the term theocratic warfare continued to be used in the 1980's, so Vin Toole has read it since he was baptised. The term more common now is "spiritual warfare." The articles now are more cautious not to suggest perjury or lying, but still continue to say a JW should misdirect people or withhold information for the benefit of the organisation.

Is Geoffrey W. Jackson a "ringer"? Was he sent coached how to testify? Is this a setup? I think so.
by Wasanelder Once inif you have heard g. jackson speak you can tell that he is smooth.
he is a good speaker with a commanding voice.
i think the gb knew this was going to happen and prepped him to testify.

Geoff is a great and Charismatic speaker but he is not going to want to take the stand. Vin Toole is also a great charismatic speaker, and look how dejected he appeared. Whilst Geoff will do a better job, he still has nothing to gain by getting on the stand.
Having Geoff testify will be like pulling back the curtain in Wizard of Oz. The sheep are in awe of the GB and their direct connection to God in making decisions. McClellan will tear that apart and show Watchtower is made up of committees with majority votes. Geoff's appearance won't help build anyone's faith, but it will remove the mystic for some Jehovah's Witnesses.
