And JW's are technically polytheists as the Watchtower Charter still states the the purpose of the borg is to promote the worship of Jehovah and Jesus.

by ithinkisee ini have listed all the books i found at the library that mention 586/87 as the fall of jerusalem.
i was also able to link to all of them (except the first one listed) on amazon.com!
many are out of print or unavailable as new books but you can buy almost all of them used on amazon.com ... some are only $10-12 each!

The biggest joke about Scholar is that in trying to defend the WTS on this site he is showing total disrespect for the WTS.
The w81 9/15 25-26 states that speaking to disfellowshipped people can be grounds to be disfellowshipped. In my latest elder's meeting I was told if i am caught talking to d'd people again i will be disfellowshipped.
Scholar may feel he is defending their honor, but in actual fact he is working against the WTS.
Scholar are you unaware of the rest of the rules of being a Witness, or are you here just to try to win arguments, without any respect for what it means to be a Witness? -

I'd like to know why you are so defensive of the year 607. The Witnesses are clearly way out with the majority of their prophecies so this one does not matter, overall the JWs are wrong regardless.
In regards to the seven times, it is a huge stretch of the imagination to think it has anything to do with a prophecy of the end of the gentile times.
Also look at all the other 'crazy' Witness prophetical interpretations. There is a total lack of consistency in how Revelation and Daniel prophecies are interpreted. There is also huge differences between how Russell interpreted them and how Rutherford reinterpreted them. The Daniel prophecies on the 1290, 1355 and 2520 days refer to irrelevant events and the day for a day formula used does not even match up with the district conventions using either a solar or lunar calendar.
Likewise, there have been 4 Revelation books with 4 vastly different understandings of Revelation, each book apparantly making "clear every part of Revelation" by the interpretation as given by God. What honest person would try to say that God led the Org to write a wrong interpretation of a prophecy? -

You must enjoy taking the piss, or is it you still languish in the self pity of the New World Order.
Since 1914 we have been enjoying one of the most abundant and peaceful of all time. Individuals suffer as a whole less than any other time in history. The average life span is double what it was only 100 years ago in many countries. Did you know there were periods in the history of London when the life span was 19 years. Maybe you would prefer to have lived in the dark ages, a period of time of unrelenting war, pestilence, with more deaths from earthquakes in the 1200's then in the 1900's.
What i found loathful about being a witness was being forced to believe how bad everything was, being forced to lived in some self induced suffering to prove that the new system has to come soon or all is doomed? Pitiful. -

I went to uni to do commerce in the 1980's when it was still really evil and was given hell for it, though I was regular pioneering at the same time. Some people even went to the CO to encourage me to stop, though he was quite supportive. In the 1990's when I started questioning the JW's some people in my congregation claimed it was because of going to university and having my thinking affected.
Anyway, thank goodness I went. I now have an exceptionally well paying job I would not have without my degree. -

Even Psychics do not recommend using ouija boards. They are said to attract the lowest level of spirits and can be dangerous. If you want to meddle with spirits it would be better to read about it first and then get an experienced psychic to be with you.

My Sister.

we keep it a secret from the rest of the family because i am disfellowshipped and she's not supposed to be hanging with me.
we are just recently becoming closer as she is beginning to have her doubts about the borg, and is currently on "public reproof" status.

What are the 90 questions for Baptism?

i wondered how the questions now come up to scrutiny with the way various countries are dealing with religions.

When i was baptised in 1986 they had been increased to 123 questions. The latest org book came out in 2005 and has 109 questions. However it is all esentially the same. Generic questions with just scriptures as answers.
I find this disturbing because you get baptised to God AND the Organisation, but the questions are not org rules. For instance it does go into things such as the full list of things you can be disfellowshipped for. In other words, a person does not fully comprehend what their baptism is getting them into. -

i am not trying to compete with fmz as he has a supernatural thread going already but - do you secretlyt wish for a demon attack - serious question - the reason i ask this is because - if i had a demon attack it would mean there was a satan the devil and if there was a satan it would mean there was god.
what i am trying to say in a nutshell is "a demon attack would actually strengthen my faith" where at the moment it is non-existent almost

I am still coming to terms with what i now believe. I have read some interesting books on Psychics my white witch receptionist gave me that were very interesting.
One thing that is a common believe is that there is a message in coincidences. Intuition does have something going for it. If it has a positive effect on your life it does not have to be evil demons. There is a possibilty we are all interconnected in some way.
