Very Good. If the Trinity is not accurate one has to wonder why to WTS goes to such lengths to distort the truth?

Is The watchtower Dishonest When It comes to the Trinity?

" the aim of this publication was to discredit the christian doctrine of the triune nature of god.
the method that the society used to accomplish this goal was to quote from a plethora of resources, both secular and religious, such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, books and historical literature written by individual authors.

Projected growth of the Watchtower Society
by Elsewhere ini took the growth figures from 1945 through 2005 and use the past growth rates to predict the future rates and this is what i got.... by 2010 the growth rate will reach 0 and after that the average number of publishers will start to go down.
their average number of publishers should stop rising at about 6.6 million members and by 2025 they should be back to 5 million.
it took them 122 years to reach 5 million publishers and it will only take 10 years to go back to 5 million publishers after they peak out at 6.6 million in 2010. .

The things we have to do for money. $20,000 for 50 hours work, that's pretty good pay, I think it is worth it. Make sure you have fun, bludge a lot, count time you didn't actually do, stop off in cafe's and have coffee counting time. Then you will be a real pioneer and also have our respect.

This is how the WTS can make BLOOD allowable and not loose members
by jwfacts ini was discussing with my auntie how in the 70's transplants were not allowed, and then in the 80's they were, and asked that since people died by not having a transplant what evidence this had of gods direction.
he answer enlightened me.
she said "transplants were dangerous in the 70's and so god was protecting his people from them.

by Elsewhere ini just found some very revealing information in the branch organization manual.. 1. they admit that bible translators do not need to know hebrew or greek.
2. they admit that the reason the authors' names are omitted is primarily to protect the organization and the authors from liability.. all bold letters are original... i added the yellow highlight and red text.. branch organization manual: page 25-5.
46. bible translation: when there are sufficient.

That's true. When you translate with the intention of fitting a preconceived doctrinal structure it doesn't matter what the original text said.

I often wonder if it is better to try to help fix the WTS, or to try to bring it down. At the end of the day I think that unfortunately most people will stay in the JW religion for now, so if it can be made a better and safer place to be part of, then at least something has been achieved.

There was a CO in South America that left after finding out the WTS is a hoax that I read recently about but I can't find his name. I have known of a couple of CO's in Australia that were d/f for immorality.
A few bethelites that I know personally have left for doctrinal reasons, and others for immorality. In Au there were a spate of Ministerial Training School brothers getting d/f for fornication in their new assignments, and I have also met the wife of a missionary who ran off with an island sister during his assignment.
Of course i am still waiting for my CO parents to wake up to reality.

Can you really believe everything in the Bible?
by proplog2 inif we take the bible at face value we are confronted with a serious problem.
how do we know when god is telling us the facts and when is he just telling us something he thinks we are capable of understanding?
this is not quite the same as the argument that god lies on occasion.

Well thought out. This mix of literal/figurative interpretation is what has led to 30,000 sects.
Even something as seemingly staightforward as whether God approves of homosexuality can be explained away. I have read articles that go into the Greek and Hebrew, explain the surrounding circumstances to come up with God approving of Gay sex.
How do you know what the bible is really saying?
