I crave alone time yet am terrified to live by myself.
I am still very afraid of the dark.
Despite being shunned and treated as if dead by everyone I had ever loved, my boss is the only person in my life with the power to make me feel bad about myself. I hate this.
I have a birthmark that doesn't see the sun

My mom was a good cook, I still make some of her recipies from when I was a kid. That being said, some dishes were just vile!
There was 7 layer dinner (7 layers of nastiness) it had ground beef, onions, peas, carrots and potatoes among other things. UGH!
Then there were cabbage rolls, I couldn't stand these either, the cabbage would be all slimey and cabbagey. Blech!
The dish that we all hated as kids we affectionally named "slop" (that didn't go over too well) it was ground beef, macaroni and canned tomatoes cooked into a big mushy mess on the stove. Utter vileness. Mom tried to convice us once that it tasted like pizza, she had a mini riot on her hands! LOL -

That "thing" you should burn...
by Sparkplug inok, i think everyone has an outfit they own that possibly is just to be worn when alone.
on laundry day when there are no other clothes to wear, these items come out of our closets and get worn through the home.
wearing these outfits guarantees that company will show up.

I've got a ratty pair of pyjama pants that are struggling with life. I love them sooooo much. They started out as warm flannel pants with Winnie the Pooh (he's got sparkly angel wings) on them. Somehow over time they've morphed into a rag with legs. The flannels worn down to the bare threads and the legs are all torn at the bottom. If I put them on it equals instant company at the door

What ended your first relationship?
by Dune ini'm in a relationship now and its my first serious one.
she keeps telling me that she's scared because she believes i'll eventually get bored with her and start wondering how it feels like with other women.
so she wants me to hook up with other girls when she goes out of the country for the fall semester.. personally i dont want to, but this is making me wonder, in the average person's first ,serious relationship, whats the cause of the breakup?

National Healthcare for the USA
by sammielee24 injust an fyi for anyone interested - there is a major drive on to push the bill forward for national healthcare in the usa.
you can sign the petition by going to http://www.onecarenow.org/.. it has gone through one part of the process last year and now the push is on to get it moved to the next level - it is backed by over 400 groups including the uaw i believe.
it is no longer if it happens, it is only a matter of time as to when it happens.

<<I also (like all women aged 25-65) have a regular cervical smear test every three years to check for abnormal pre-cancerous cells>>
<<OK is it just me or......this test is recommended every YEAR....is this the type of testing schedule you get under nationalised healthcare?>>
In Canada you will recieve any and all tests/exams/services, that your health care provider asks for. The recommended schedule for a pap is one a year but they will cover more then one if deemed needed. -

Has anybody successfully quit using caffeine altogether?
by DanTheMan inmy anxiety and stress levels are really bad lately.
i think i'd be doing myself a favor to quit caffeine, as it has become a real catch-22 for me, where i need it to stay awake, but it causes me to lose sleep, so i need more of it to stay awake, etc.. i've learned through experience that i'm very sensitive to any sort of chemical substance that affects neurotransmitter flow, and, given my general propensity towards depression/anxiety/paranoia/add, i think that at least one thing i could do to give me a calmer, more stable neurotransmitter mix would be to eliminate caffeine.
i've tried to reduce before, and i've found that i just start making excuses to have a little more, a little more, until i'm right back where i started.. so, i'm just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience where they felt the need to not just reduce but eliminate caffeine altogether, and if so, how did it go, did it help, how long has it been, etc.
